My family has been frequenting Bombay Sweets for years (at least a decade). We have always appreciated the friendly service, and the quality and amount of food provided for an affordable price. As vegetarians, the options were always great! We usually ordered take out. With new technology and advanced internet services, we were able to order with the website which always worked wonderfully. Unfortunately, probably about a year or so ago, I believe Bombay Sweets traded ownership and as a result they updated their pricing and website. The pricing inside of the restaurant on their standard menu is still great compared to other local options, but when trying to order for takeout online it is all screwed up. When we attempt to order a curry it asks whether we want 16oz, 16oz with rice, 32oz, or 32oz with rice. Previously rice was always included in the order of a curry. When we select 16oz it says it will cost nearly $25!! If we select with rice it brings it up to almost $27 dollars. This is ridiculous. I’m not sure if it’s just a mistake in the system but it needs to be fixed because every time we try, it’s the same. We have started to go to other more expensive places like Cafe India because even they are not charging $25 dollars for a single curry. We love Bombay Sweets so...

Date of visit: 03/17/2018. Zero Star is not an option with Google. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. YOU WILL BE HUMILIATED. We had a very bad experience at this place. Google shows that this place closes at 10PM on Saturdays and so we were there (with 2 kids) hungry around 8:40 PM. We were asked to order really quick because they told us the kitchen will be closing at 9PM but we can dine in until 10. So we ordered everything quick and we were asked to pay the amount upfront. In 10-15 mins, we got all the food we ordered. But the quality of food was very bad. Dosas were all burnt (See picture), Paani poori was very poor. I don't think the oil was fresh/new. Above all this, within 5 mins (around 9:07 PM), we were asked to leave. They said they wanna close the restaurant for the day and switched off all the lights. We had a little bit of argument but we had no other choice. We had to ask our kids to stop eating and packed everything we ordered. Kids were all hungry and it was so saddening to ask them stop eating. The staffs there were also very rude. We felt highly humiliated. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. They should definitely improve their food quality, if not shut the business down. Worst place in the Milwaukee area. There are lot of other places to get quality...

The worst Indian food ever! Also mind the fact that it serves food in styrofoam, hot sambar, if it's hot or anything else. Dosa was burnt as well as uncooked in several spots, sounds weird but that's what we got. Almost looked like it came out of a panini grill instead of a flat skillet. Never even tasted it because it did not seem with it with all the uncooked layers. We also ordered a vegetarian Thali. The spinach was as butter and tasting raw coffee powder. My husband spit it out and I ended with an extremely bitter and weird after taste with just 2 bites. The other veggie carried the exact same bitterness. To top it all, everything in Thali was cold cold. Not even warm. I had tried to cancel my order but they left said it's ready and then gave us the cold platter. I refused to pay for more than one dish because the veggie platter was inedible and they should be penalized for serving inedible food to...

Big big menu with lots of vegan options. Really inexpensive. Super authentic. Order at the counter and they'll call you when your order is ready. Never busy. Lots of seating. Your meal comes on disposable plates, so it's not fancy or pretentious. It's just good food! Can be spicy, so watch out and let them know if you want something mild. I've had like a gazillion dishes from here, but I always get the idli sambhar or one of the dosas because, as far as I've found, this is the only place in Milwaukee where you can get either of those, and those are just my all-time favorite Indian foods. They have the most beautiful case of snacks and bakery. There are no vegan options in the bakery case, but if you're vegetarian, you've got to try their jalebi (they look like little orange funnel cakes).
