Minden Seafood — Restaurant in Minden

This is one of the closest restaurants to where I live but it has taken me two years to give it a try.

I called ahead and ordered a Whole Catfish Plate. I still had to wait a bit once I arrived so I wandered around the building checking it out.

You can buy fresh seafood and the seasonings to fix it. The dining room consists of two rooms but it seems most people get it to go.

The Catfish Plate includes a pound of catfish which was 4 whole fish in my case. It also includes fries, slaw, & hush puppies. The catfish was good and cooked well but I thought it could have used a bit more seasoning. I'm pretty sure the tartar sauce was from a bottle. (I'm a fan of a great homemade tartar sauce) The slaw was pretty good. My daughter loved it but I prefer the slaw at Dorcheat. The catfish lays on a pile of fries in the styrofoam box. The fries were just fries and didn't stand out in any way.

It's a lot of food and I shared this plate with my wife & daughter. The plate cost me $14 with tax.

Would I go back? I'm sure I will since it's close to the house but if I'm craving catfish, my favorite in the area...

My order wasnt done the fish was still pinkish in the middle l returned it to the cashier who was the nicest part of the visit their she took my order back to the back and asked them to remake it instead they threw it back in the grease and brought it back out l looked at it and said its not eatble fish was crusty and hard and completely dried up the cashier said omg this is worse than before took it back to the cooks again and l heard them say just give em they d* money back when l asked what was wrong for wanting a correct and eatable order order was remade this time without any seasoning and a very bitter taste l didnt bother to take it back l just threw it in the trash a waste of money and they have some very...

The restaurant was very clean and the customer service was great! Ordered the 4 piece fish plate with Cole slaw, fries, hush puppies for $8.49. it did not come with a drink. That was $2 extra. That was no problem either. The fish was hot and fried golden 👌. However it was no seasoning on it whatsoever. Taste like fish served in the hospital perhaps. First time in Minden and first time eating there.. Would have given 5 stars if the fish wasn't bland. However, I did try my partners shrimp.. it was better than the fish.
