Sweet Arrow Lake Wake and Cake — Restaurant in Minersville

The place is nice inside, the donuts are pretty good (not great though) given the fact that they are made with pre-made shells and not fresh.

What I do not like is the fact that they have them in public bins and are self serve as opposed to the staff getting / boxing them. Buying food that has had who knows who touch it with their hands, breathe on, (and potentially cough on etc) does not sound to appealing.

They have coffee available, but only one size (small) that costs as much (or more) then a extra large that I can get right down the road at Fuel On or the Turkey hill. The location is also pretty rough since there is no parking lot, only street parking and if you are going the wrong way you have to run across main street (not bad in the summer, will be a pain in the winter).

Over all, while I am glad to see a new business in town, I do not see any compelling reason to chose this place over existing options that have more convenience, better options, better service, better prices, and...

The owner is very friendly and is always willing to have a conversation with you. Other than the made to order donuts, she offers iced and hot coffee. I recommend trying all her premium iced coffee flavors because who knows? You might find your favorite also. She also makes and decorates cakes that are delicious.
