People know me of being the happy and smiling type of person, always joyful and helpful to others. I asked my family member if they could give me the name of the bagel shop we ate last near Davie. However, I was at the Memorial Miramar Hospital on 172nd Avenue and felt the need to buy a bagel with cream cheese. I Google the nearest place and The Bagel Jar popped up at 172nd Avenue. I have been to a Bagel Jar in Margate and the customer service was on level 10. So I walk in and the customer service was not the same. The cashier had no smile or greeting when I ordered a bagel and cream cheese and a Matcha. I paid, I step to the side of the coffee maker, I waited and the young lady with a mean face asked me "sweet or no sweet", I answered sweet, then I asked if she had another type of milk, possibly oat milk, if not, regular is fine no worries because I don't want to make anyone mad. Then this tall guy with a face of stone said to me, "I should have told the cashier", no better no worst. She made the Matcha with oat milk, I said thank you and waited for the bagel. The tall man brought the bagel in a bag to me and I said thank you. I get in the car, and why does the bagel has butter on it. I never asked for butter on the bagel! Is this what customer service is going. We have a Bahamian family restaurant, and we have exceptional customer service and we aim to please everyone. I don't write comments to bring down anyone but I had to write this review because how I...
Read moreI want to start off by saying that as a student in university, I’ve visited many, many, many coffee shops. This one is by far one of the absolute best. Prices are incredibly reasonable for the amount as well as the attention given to each drink. I ordered a large cappuccino (it was the size of my head)(not complaining), and having been a barista myself, can definitely say they know how to make an incredible, perfectly frothed drink. You can tell its family run given the cozy feel, and I wouldn’t hesitate on supporting this business. To me, good coffee is hard to come by at times, but wow do they know what they’re doing. Will be coming back again and again!
I do want to note that given the small space, to be sure to sit at the small tables if you’re going to be using a laptop and intend on being there for a long time. I tried to be respectful of the larger groups that were there, since I went on a weekend and it got much busier....
Read moreI found this place through TikTok reviews, and it’s definitely a nice spot in the Miramar area to grab a coffee, enjoy breakfast, get some work done, or meet up with friends.
I ordered several items:cappuccino, iced coffee, blueberry pound cake, plantain tequeños, egg bites, and a coffee muffin. The cappuccino was good — creamy and nicely presented — though the foam was a bit cold. They could definitely improve the temperature. The iced coffee was just okay — nothing particularly impressive.
I took the food to go, and most of it tasted great and had that homemade touch — except for the coffee muffin. Unfortunately, it was completely hard and inedible by the time I got home (I live 40 minutes away). It seemed like it was old when they packed it, and even heating it up didn’t help, so I ended up throwing it away.
They should definitely keep a closer eye on the quality of what they serve, especially for...
