I am a delivery driver and have picked up from this location many times, I even decided to bring some food home myself to try it out. However, I have noticed that it takes them an incredibly long time to prepare ANY order, whether it’s during the day/night or the weekend, it makes no difference. In my opinion, the food isn’t worth the ridiculously long wait times… especially when there is a Panda Express down the street (which I believe tastes just just as good lol).
I had ordered several items from here to bring home, including their Chow Mein Noodles and their Walnut Shrimp. The shrimp alone, for around $15 they give you like…. 8 tiny shrimp, served on a giant bed of LETTUCE with a handful of walnuts.
Ouch.
My first delivery from here was on New Years Day last year, I remember having to cancel the order after waiting over 2 hours for it, just to have them tell me that someone else had picked it up or whatever. No biggie though, eh? I figured it’s the New Year and their food must just be THAT good.
Eh…
Well yesterday, I accepted an order from here once again, and waited about 30 minutes for it this time before finally deciding to leave. I had asked the same girl at the counter if she knew how much longer it was going to take, and all she said was, “I don’t know, sorry.” There seems to be no order back there, and after a while, it’s just not worth it anymore.
I suppose if you find their food worth the wait, then great. But otherwise, I suggest going elsewhere. The employees aren’t very friendly either…
Terrible service, for just...
Read moreWithout much by the way of Chinese fare close to home we were anxiously awaiting the arrival of Big Chopsticks. Here's how our first and most likely last trip was. I was going to order online but noticed a $1.50 convenience fee. I decided to call instead, you know the LESS convenient option for everyone involved. Took my order, no $1.50 fee. Upon arrival I see a sign that informs me that the prices listed are CASH prices. Using a credit card (convenience) is subjected to a 3% fee. If my kids weren't so hungry I would've just walked out. The fees don't stop there. Lunch items come with white rice. If you want brown $1 charge. Fine, that is pretty typical. HOWEVER, Regular size entrees (dinner) do NOT come with any rice. $0.50 for white and $1.00 for brown. That is not typical. If you opt for brown w/ a lunch item you pay the $1.00 for a smaller amount than the dinner option for $1.00. My kids are usually big fans of teriyaki chicken but neither really liked it. It was 47% chicken and 53% slightly cooked, large cuts of onion strips. The kung pao lunch was so-so. Also, I do not think we received any fortune cookies. Probably a convenience fee if you want those placed in your to-go bag as well. The...
Read moreRecently ordered takeout from [chopsticks] to take advantage of their buy-one-get-one-free deal. While the portion size was large, the overall experience fell short.
Sweetness Overload: The chow mein was excessively sweet, likely due to an overabundance of hoisin sauce. Chicken Concerns: The chicken was disappointing. It included dark meat (which I don't prefer), and even the white meat was overcooked and dry. Greasy Wontons: The wontons were greasy, and the small amount of chicken inside was chewy and fatty, making them unappetizing. Unfortunately, due to the issues mentioned above, none of us finished our meals, and a significant portion went to waste.
Past Orders Positive: It's important to note that I've ordered from [chopsticks] previously with satisfactory results. However, this recent experience makes me hesitant to order again, especially considering my dietary restrictions (no pork or beef).
Recommendation: If you're looking for savory options or prefer lighter sauces, I might suggest exploring other...
