Delicious food, amazing views, wonderful service! We came to watch the 4th of July fireworks over the reservoir. We knew it was going to be packed that night so we kept an eye on the wait time on Shaggy’s website and added ourselves to the wait list when it was about an hour to hour and a half wait as it would take us an hour to drive there. Parking was terrible because everyone was there to watch the fireworks from their car but we were able to find a spot after a lot of searching. We checked in with hostess and were happy to find half price drinks available while we waited for our table. Our drinks were handed to us and immediately I received a text that our table was ready. Our planning and timing worked out perfectly! We were seated outside and enjoyed the live music while watching a beautiful sunset. Our waitress was super friendly and on top of everything. We ordered the towering nachos with shrimp (this could easily be a filling meal for two on its own), crab stuffed flounder (my husband’s favorite dish of the night) and Shaggy’s redfish (my favorite dish of the night). All of the food was great and the atmosphere was just as good. We will definitely be back!!

We planned our parent's 60th Anniversary Celebration at Shaggy's on the Rez. Our parents live in MS; the rest of us are scattered from Texas to Florida, so Mississippi was a central location for everyone to get together. We had already planned their 50th at a very upscale restaurant, so making this one more fun was the objective -- and, boy-oh-boy, was it ever fun! Shaggy's has live music, so after our dinner inside and a quick trip back to the hotel to drop off those who did not want to stay out, we came back to the outside bar with our dad. He was a kid again, dancing with us and other people. The band was incredible - I was pleasantly surprised by the talent in this particular band on April 1st. We chose Shaggy's because of their seafood choices and their food is very good. Drinks were great too! (What we paid included alcoholic drinks for everyone.) The real accolades go to the staff and management there. We decided to check out the place to see if we could decorate a table, and what time we could come back for that. The staff were awesome, and management did everything to accommodate our party. They were incredible.

Took my Dad to Shaggy's on the Rez for his birthday and was not disappointed!!! We started out with the fried gator which was tasty and the coconut shrimp which was absolutely fantastic!!! My Dad and I got the Shaggy's Snapper. It had a base of coconut rice with a large snapper filet covered in a delicious cream sauce and topped with a ton of shrimp!! It was so delicious. My Mom had the Bahama Grill which had a bed of coconut rice with a choice of chicken or redfish topped with a pineapple pico. She chose the red fish. I stole a bite 🤪 and it was so fresh and delicious!!! I will definitely get this the next time I go!!! The atmosphere was fun. It was bright, colorful and upbeat but not noisy to the point where you can't hold a conversation at your table. We had Ray as a server and she did a remarkable job, she was very sweet and attentive and was always there to have our glasses filled when they got low. Management was great also, walked the restaurant the entire time we were there making sure everyone was being taken care of. All in all it was a VERY PLEASANT experience and I look forward to going back!!!

The location is great, the view of the sunset over the lake was very nice, the pull up dock for the boats to come and eat was neat to see in action. I chose the shrimp Alfredo and was really disappointed, there was really no flavor to the sauce, the shrimp was good, but I had to add way too much salt just to make the rest of the meal some what enjoyable to eat. My other two guest both got the shrimp trio and that looked great and they enjoyed it. For appetizers we had the fried pickles , chips and salsa with cheese dip which was all great eats as well. It took a little longer than we liked for food and drinks, but the place was packed and I’m sure they like many places were understaffed, with that the staff was great and friendly. Final notes if you like a authentic Alfredo flavor, don’t get the shrimp Alfredo, cause at least on this visit they skipped the flavor. Would definitely return, with a different meal selection.

Great time. Wait time was normal. Around 30 minutes. Staff was amazing! We ordered shrimp platters. $15.99. They ask if you would like white cheese sauce for $1. Making you think it will be one small bowl. Instead they give you a pill cup of it and on each ordered plate. So $2 extra for enough cheese to dip 6 fries into. So skip the cheese scam. The view was amazing. The platter was decent. They took the fried oysters off the menu and added Gator. Huge disappointment. Got the Miami Vice for $9. Love this drink. Make it a double shot for $4 more. They really should drop the drink prices. Portions seemed smaller than last time we visited. Prices were higher. We did enjoy our visit but will only be back from time to time. If they would realize this isn’t Florida and you would gain so much repeat business if you didn’t try and gouge the customer at every turn. Man I miss The Dock.

HOLY COW! This place was amazing! The visuals were already incredibly pleasantnd the food was even better!! The waiters were amazing. We had no wait at all, which may have been luck, now looking at the other reviews. Probably the one of the best detailed places. The location was great, right in front of the bay, too. The music was just the right volume, matching with the vibe. The colors were amazing from the outside to the inside. The food was excellent. I had the bbq chicken wrap, and it was FANTASTIC. The fries were the right crispyness, it was incredible. We also had the brownie sunday, and it was just the right consistency. Everything was amazing. Waiters were the best. They were cheerful, always checking up on everyone and everything, just perfect. 10/10 would recommend this place.
