Crazy Craig's Cheeky Monkey Bar — Restaurant in Missouri

I came here a couple years ago and left a review before but for some reason, I no longer see my review so I'm posting another in hopes it will reach the people that it needs to reach.

First and foremost, my friend and I went on Taco Tuesday night...their tacos were AMAZING! Probably some of the best tacos I've ever had. We were greeted immediately at the door with house drinks that were really good as well! The food and service that we had were EXCEPTIONAL.

What was NOT exceptional is the owners son (I know he was the owners son because he loved bragging about it) and the long-haired Asian bar tender (who was not working that night, but there to hang out) You see, the owners son was immediately interested in my friend, and got the Asian bar tender to buy me drinks all night to get me "drunk enough" so dude could score with my friend. I'm not the girl to turn down free drinks and didn't realize what the plan was at that time.

They got me and my friend drunk and offered to take us home. The asian guy took me back to our hotel, and the owners son took my friend back to our hotel (we rode in separate vehicles). When we got there, the asian guy pulled me on the bed and started making out with trying to undo my pants and I wouldn't let him. Soon after my friend and the owners son showed up at the hotel, I told them both that they needed to leave. The asian guy left right away when he saw he wasn't getting laid and he wasted his time. However, the owners son literally argued with me and looked smug when I told him to leave.

"But your friend wants me to stay." "This is my hotel so I'm telling you to leave" "But its her hotel too and she said I could stay" "I don't care what my friend told you in the car on the way here, this hotel is in MY name and I'm telling you to leave NOW." He hesitantly left after a hotel neighbor started banging on the wall telling us all to shut up.

I will never go back because of this experience. I feel like me and my friend could have been taken advantage of and the entire situation got dangerous. I haven't even been back to Branson since.

EDIT IN REPLY OF OWNERS COMMENT I don't understand how you can say this isn't the behavior of this bar when not only ONE employee participated but TWO did, one even being the owner's son. I don't know how many people own the restaurant and I was obviously drunk and don't remember names, but I'm almost certain they know who I'm talking about. Tall skinny scruffy looking dude who talks way too fast, way too much, and brags about himself being the son of a bar owner. The other guy is the only long-haired Japanese guy in the bar so how can it be said that this is not the representation of the bar when these two employees literally tried to drunk lay me and my friend. I literally have PTSD from this experience as I've never had this experience anywhere in my life where I literally had to argue with someone to leave, or being forced on a bed and too drunk to not fall down on the bed, being made out with without consent because he knew how drunk he got me and even tried to get me to take off my pants in my drunk state. How can you say that in good faith??? Literally how?

The website given to contact someone about this didn't work. When I enter the address into my browser address bar goes straight to a bing search result. I tried calling the number provided and it just kept ringing and ringing and ringing. Maybe I called at a bad time? I don't know. What is a good...

The last time I was there, I got a glass of water because I didn't know what I wanted to eat. I usually order the same thing I always get which is a bbq pulled pork sandwich but I wanted to try something different. So it took me a while to think about what I wanted. The two newest girls there, one of them was older with pig tails and glass and one was younger and darker skin (I'm not racist by any means either) ignored our table the whole time my friends and I were there. I had to stop the younger girl just to get my water refilled even though both the new workers looked at my glass ad saw that it needed to be refilled and just kept on walking. I had to stop the cook, even though I am dating him, to ask him what all was on the steak wrap so that I could order some food and Jesse told him that I was being a distraction when that was the first time that I ever talked to him that night. Then his Jesse's father left, the young new girl went to the table beside us and put her leg in between this guy's leg and just stood there talking to her man and did nothing for over 30 minutes while my friends and I ate. Not only can I sue for the lack of judgement from Jesse but I could have them shut down for how they run things and the poor service that they show to their customers. Asking a simple question to someone is not a crime. I will make sure that everyone that I know will know about this and how wrong you are for what you did for me asking Billy a simple question about what is on a food item since I have never ordered it before and wanted to make sure i wasnt allergic to anything on that item that I would have been able to sue you guys over if anything did happen. So i called my lawyer over this little situation that Crazy Craig is refusing to investigateand also showed him the messages that he sent and my lawyer said i had the grounds to sue for the owner being biased. Oh and another thing, with me not being able to drink and that the cheeky monkey bar is literally the only bar that I go to, so ya crazy craig, it WAS YOUR BAR WHETHER OR NOT YOU WANT TO BELIEVE IT. Someone who doesn't drink, knows when and where and what bar they were in especially when there was more than one person with me. Cant deny...

UPDATE: 10-28-2021

Came back here again while on vacation, and I have to say we have had $100 meals on vacation, and this has been the cheapest and BEST meal we have had!! They never disappoint. The service is also great! We had the pork nachos and pork quesedillias. They were amazing!!

WOW!! Some of the best food we had on our entire vacation!!

I stumbled along this place looking for somewhere to eat the last night of our vacation. I was looking for places the locals go...because we all know they live there, so they know where the best food is!!

I saw VERY GOOD reviews, so I said let's try it. I had the pulled pork and cheese quesodillas. My boyfriend had the loaded nachos. IT WAS AWESOME!!

They have a very limited food menu. Im not a big quesodilla person, because I dont care for all that wrap it comes in, and my boyfriend isn't big on chips and salsa or nachos.... boy, were we ever surprised!!! My food was so good that I took my leftovers back to where we were staying and snacked on it later (and im one of those picky people who won't eat leftovers...I ate those!!) My boyfriends plate was so piled high with the nachos, it was full. Like I said, hes not big on nachos, but he ate his entire plate of them...except one. He offered me one. Just one. It was good!

This place will definitely be included in every single one of our vacations back to Branson.

The atmosphere is very laid back. Not really touristy...its local people, at their local bar/hangout. They are so nice, talk to you like they know you. We were sitting by the pool tables, and they had some really good people playing, so it was entertaining. The prices are cheap, and it was an overall great experience, and in the top 2 of places we ate at during our week vacation, and about 70% cheaper.
