Hacienda San Miguel: House of Tequila — Restaurant in Mobile

I ended up here due to my car breaking down and being stuck 3 hours from home while I waited on my fiance to pick me up. (Car got towed and all rental car companies were closed since it was after 6PM) When I arrived my server, Destiny, was so amazing and wonderful. I explained my situation and made sure she'd be okay with me eating and hanging out for 3 hours. She was and made an effort to talk with me and befriend me. She went above and beyond to make the situation I was in as pleasant as possible. I'll never forget her kind heartedness. The rest of the staff were wonderful as well. It was nearing closing time and they never once made me feel intrusive. The manager even came over and talked with me and made me feel very welcomed. At the end of the night, quite literally, my fiance made it. The manager offered us red bulls to make the 3 hour drive home. We declined but the gesture was so nice. The overall experience was one I'll never forget. They turned a sour situation into a good one. Thank you to every staff member that was there that night! Especially a HUGE thanks to Destiny. Do not order food from here!!! Total rip off!!! The food is good but the service is terrible. Me & my husband ordered a large cheese dip. We got a teeny tiny bag of chips for a large cheese...not sure if what we got was an actual “large” cause it doesn’t look like a normal large, but that I can deal with not a half full tiny bag of chips for a large cheese dip. We called the restaurant and they said it only comes with a small bag of chips unless you specifically order extra...didn’t even tried to to make it right. Nowhere does anything say a large cheese dip will not come with sufficient amount of chips... You get free chips at the restaurant...I’ve ordered food here before and was given adequate chips...how would anyone know they wouldn’t do right by the order. They could have at least called us when they were preparing the order with one tiny bag of chips and a large cheese and let us know extra chips don’t come with the upgraded size of cheese dip. I paid $40 for 10 chicken wings, a small-medium cheese dip, and a serving of chips...Absolutely ridiculous...complete & total utter rip off. Save...

Ordered lunch with extras and no beans, drive 20 minutes get lunch for office get back, one lunch is totally messed up. Lunch has beans on it, take it back they apologize, remake it reminded we pay extra for items he includes them this time. HE I quote says the waitress got it right it was the COOK!!! NO acutally your a team and if it was wrong and you or your waitress would have checked the order before bagging it then I wouldn't be here writing a review. We didn't get items we paid for the items we asked not be on it were put on it. 2nd trip for pick up again and giving back wrong order was a JOKE. Chicken so big your couldn't eat it on a nacho it was supposed to be shredded chicken nachos there was zero flavor and there was less than a bit of cheese on them in the center at the bottom. Most disgusting meal ever from there and a year we revisited and it was great but your take out TEAM STINKS and your shouldn't down any of your TEAM ie COOK.
