The Station Pizzeria & Taproom — Restaurant in Mocksville

Sadly the NEW Station is disappointing. The MEAT pizza was burnt and lacking a decent amount of toppings. for $22, you would think it would be covered.

The prior Station bartenders were friendly, knew the beer and had a positive energy. The new bar staff seemed to be miserable, never smiled and were pretty clueless about the beer selection. They were mostly on their phones and not greeting people. We saw one dude stand there waiting for them and finally asked to get their attention. To top it off, the Beer was not cold and a couple that I had a taste before I chose where not cold either.

The old Station was really cool. The food trucks, the music and the beer made it a frequent Friday evening hangout for us. Now, no food trucks, was no music on a Friday, very marginal and expensive pizza and beer served with a frown. No longer cool.

We were excited to try the station tonight during their grand opening. Hubby and I arrived at 4:45pm and the bleach blond bartender who was there was not the friendliest. I only saw beer posted on the screen behind the bar and I wanted wine so I asked for a wine menu. Her rude reply was to tell me it was on the wall. The wine wasn’t listed nor was the seltzer’s so I asked for clarification. Once we got our drinks, it took almost 2 hrs for our pizza to arrive. We were having a good time listening to the music and the owner was nice and checking on folks. We had the califlower crust which was extremely disappointing. Too much sauce and soggy. Such a let down after the long wait. They totally lost our friends order but once it came we tried it and it was better. I would say wait until they have their ducks in a row...

I absolutely love this place. The atmosphere is so inviting and relaxing. It's a great place to wine down after a long week at work. It's a cool little place. They also have a general store with barrels of candy, drinks in glass bottles, and ice cream. Then outside in the Garage Bays is the taproom with different beers on draft. They usually have live bands on Friday nights and food trucks. They have all kinds of events going on. Great place to hang out....
