Family-friendly, Californian take on New Orleans-inspired food - it was surprisingly good. And the variety.... I look forward to returning with my nephews and eventually trying every food item on the menu.

My NEW ORLEANS SKILLET: The Andouille Sausage was super flavorful, and there was plenty of Louisiana (white) Shrimp, too. The Creole Sauce on top was really light on the Cayenne Pepper, Black Pepper, and hot sauce, though.

I ordered the "plain" BISCUIT for my bread choice. See image... It tasted as plain and boring as my image suggests. But I don't recall the last time I had a good restaurant biscuit outside of Georgia or North Carolina - it has been years. But I was hopeful.

My TEA was sweet, as requested.

I ordered TAKE-OUT: Fried Green Tomatoes and Fried Okra, respectively. They'd steamed pretty good by the time I got them home. That being said...

The FRIED GREEN TOMATOES were tough to chew. And I do not know how that could be possible, steamed or not. It's just odd. Also, there were only five slices in the box. That's far too few fried tomato slices (too small a tomato) to command $7.99. The FRIED OKRA was mushy. Steamed. They tasted alright, though.

The accompanying "spicy ranch" was not spicy at all.

Overall, the food was good. The presentation was good. The service was good. The atmosphere was good. Since I look forward to going back and trying other menu items, they...

I went to pick up breakfast at this location, had the worst experience I’ve ever had in any business. I ordered 2 breakfasts and a large unsweetened tea. When I got there I asked if the tea was sweet or I sweet, the young lady said it’s tea,. I just moved here from South Carolina and you have to specify there so I was asking. Well long story short the unsweetened came in a smaller size and I asked if I could have the large bc the large was on my bill. We went around about it bc I couldn’t understand why and finally the lady snatched it off the counter and said it’s no big deal I’ll change it. I thought I’d it’s no big deal why did we go through this. But that wasn’t the worst of it, a guest behind me jokes and said , as I was walking off I’ll have a tea and joked, which is fine , but the staff made fun of me so unprofessionally laughing before I left. The funny thing is I work at one of the major warehouses on Finch road and recommend this place to at least 5 truckers a week.. I won’t do it again ever, because I would feel bad if they got...

An amazing experience! Just good old fashioned happiness and service meaning what you expect from a good down to earth establishment customer service with the waitress was amazing ,and actually just being able to watch all the other waitresses interact with the other customers had me just awww struck ! Because that had to be the most busiest place I have ever seen in my whole natural existing lifetime on earth yeah the place is that great and too top it off they all are able to hold there sanity and composure together and not have no chaos or loose there cool who ever runs this and owns this gots there stuff together for sure good job guys and gals all owners management and employees as well last but not least of course ! And thank you very much Breanna who served me and was my waitress ! She was on point ! She went above and beyond for me and my friend that was there with me ! So asked for Breanna u can't miss her big smile full of life and eyebrows are on...

We accidentally went to the wrong Huckleberry's after having a great experience the previous time that we came out to Modesto. I was afraid that the service and food would not be the same as the first Huckleberry's we went to because our first experience eating at Huckleberry's was awesome. This Huckleberry's was absolutely the same experience as the first, not better or worse, just AMAZING service and food at both restaurants. I only wish that there were more Huckleberry's where I we live in Southern California. I even had to complement the staff and food to the manager. If you're close to either Huckleberry's, you have to go in for a great experience. You'll love it.

I thought I had done a review already, and was surprised to see I had not after multiple visits. Usually I order to-go on my way through town, and have always been pleased with the orders and service. I can say the beignets travel well, lol. I actually dined in last time and realized how fun the place is in it's rustic style and ambiance. The service is always fantastic and prompt. I have never seen a shortage of staff. Everyone seems very happy there and is always helpful and kind. They have a wide variety of comfort foods and more. I like the huckleberry muffins and lemonade. I stop every chance I get.
