0 stars for management, 5 for the young woman that helped me.
Was asked to go out front and there were no spaces except one far from the entrance. Never happened to me before here. Parked in the one spot, then moved closer. Order was taking long so I went inside and my order was gone because they couldn’t find me and assumed I had left. The manager (tall white guy) asked if I had my receipt. I told them I asked for no receipt (a girl at the pay window had asked me if I wanted one like she’s supposed to and I said no).
A nice young woman comes to retake my order since it wasn’t simple and I can hear management yelling at her to come to the back. What’s she’s supposed to do, drop her pen and paper and leave me there? No way whatever they needed was as urgent as the manager was making it sound. Later on I could hear a male manager or team lead angrily criticizing her from the lobby. Totally childish and unprofessional of him; it accomplishes nothing. She wasn’t even the person that met me at the pickup window, meaning she had no reason to have an image of me or my car.
This Macdonald’s is the fastest of any fast food restaurant I’ve ever been to anywhere. It’s a shame it seems they’re achieving that by means of workplace hostility and intimidation. Management was well within their ability to check their facility cameras where my car would’ve been visible, and instead chose to abandon the order and misplace blame for their mistake onto the only employee who addressed me with a friendly and helpful tone while resolving this. Yeah she couldn’t find my car, neither did they and that’s the entire point of their management title: broader functions.
I actually hesitated to write this because there was so much tension back there that I got the impression the young woman might be penalized if I made any sort of complaint. I shouldn’t be able to get that impression from 10 minutes of sitting in the building. To the manager/team leads in the back who were audibly frustrated: I’ve worked in fast food, fast casual with fine ingredients, and I’ve managed teams in the tech industry. Your particular brand of personnel management is short-sighted and elementary. I hope you’re able to unlearn being a tool long enough to understand that your conduct in this instance increases the likelihood of costly errors and is unnecessary to...
Read moreIf I can give this McDonald’s a zero 00 stars I would I’ve been going to this McDonald’s since I return back to Modesto for 10+ years. Every time I go down there they make the order wrong. I get a quarter QPC special order the meat is raw you take it back once they remake it you take it back again they put hair in the food, I give it back to the manager. Yes he apologize he was upset. He even try to make it up and give me a double quarter pounder cheese. I stayed away for a whole month and a half. I just went back the other day. I ordered a quarter pound of cheese 2 of them for me and my spouse large french fries I paid regular price no app discounts nothing the total came out $25 OK . Some manager woman had the guts to ask my spouse for the receipts insinuating. Wanting proof that we had purchased a quarter pound of cheese at McDonald’s, I went up to the counter cause my spouse brought it back to me, saying she wanted the proof. Yeah, I got the receipt I took it back to that manager she grabbed it out of my hand, the receipt and the sandwich quarter pound of cheese remade it, well my fries were getting cold on the table. They ignored that I was standing there in a wheelchair at the counter when it was finally made some other employee took the QPC to the table. I’m still waiting at the counter in my wheelchair, they said, can I help you? I said I’m waiting for the replacement. They had the guts to go to the table take it off the table, where my spouse was sitting, bring it to me at the counter and give it to me after they had took it to the table said here no apologies nothing I called their district office. No one answered. Left them a message waited the 24 hours for someone to call me back. No one called me back. I emailed McDonald’s main web page yet again on how bad this McDonald’s is on their service I’m paying over $6 for each QPC over $4 for a large fry. I don’t care about $1 but when total comes out to over $25. You better believe I am getting upset … what happened to the saying that we were taught in management the customer is always right, this generation working right now are rude inconsiderate stuck up no manners and for what they’re getting paid for need to be retrained. And need to learn how to speak English. That’s another thing when you ask for a manager most of them don’t even speak...
Read moreI was told at the drive thru speaker to please come inside. I parked to go inside and the lobby was locked. I knocked and a young kid with a rather large head was standing there. There were also two other older ladies inside as well. I stood there for a second and they just continued aimlessly walking around like they didn't see me. I sat back in my car and seen them all laughing and giggling like they thought something was hilarious about telling me to come inside from drive thru, but having the door locked. The older ladies seemed more interested in hugging their young male coworkers than doing their job. When another worker arrived I was able to enter finally. The immediate smell of burned Marijuana inside the lobby was unbelievable. Pretty obvious why they didn't want to open the drive thru or lobby for a while. So if you happened to want breakfast early morning before work, dont stop at this McDonald's. Unless you want to deal with middle aged women acting like teenagers to impress their young male co workers.Or a nice contact high to go with your McGriddle and coffee. Oh, and lastly, they didn't have any change for me because they hadn't set up the lobby registers before letting me in. I told them to keep the change and they found it funny that they had forgot to set up the register for customers. McDonalds as a cooperation should be terrified and appalled at whats going on in...
