We Donuts Shop — Restaurant in Modesto

I came across this place by chance after a last minute search when another spot let me down. Finding somewhere open early, especially on a day when most are closed, felt like a lucky break. From the moment I walked in, the energy was different in the best way.

The husband was incredibly nice, truly one of the kindest people I’ve come across, and the wife was just as warm and welcoming. The entire staff made the experience feel personal and positive, without any of the judgment or attitude you sometimes get elsewhere.

They even offered to make fresh chocolate filled croissants for me on the spot, which was above and beyond. While waiting, I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese croissant BLT with pancakes and fruit, everything was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. They even brought out a complimentary Donut. which was a thoughtful and unexpected touch.

This is one of those rare places that gets it all right the food, the service, and the way they treat people. I’ll absolutely be coming back, and I’ll be recommending it...

We ordered custom donuts for our baby shower rather than custom sugar cookies. The price was super reasonable $40 for the words "Welcome Baby Devin." Each letter was so big that it was at least 2 donuts of dough per letter. The frosting was a bit too thick, making them overly sweet (personal preference maybe), but there were no complaints from the guests who were enjoying them. I only took a star away bc it was said to be ready for pick up at 9am, but then when we arrived, we were asked to come back around 11 am for the order. I tried Baker Boys donut shop last weekend, and was surprised how good the donuts were. The french crullers are excellent. Mary (the owner) waited on me and shared she has been there for 33 years. I can see why. They also have sandwiches you can order. I plan on trying them another time. It is refreshing this Mom and Pop business is still up and running after 33 years in the same location.
