La Rancherita 2 — Restaurant in Moline

I had a call in order. The girl that I talked to was the most rudest person I’ve ever had to talk to. I told her my order she kept on cutting me off because I wanted her to repeat it cause I knew she didn’t have it right of course she said it super fast and then just cut me off and kept and trying to ask her questions if she had this in this and she’s like yes ma’am and then hung up so I called her back. Wanna know the total of the bill and to repeat my order she just cut me off and again. So I go in there She is super rude. She doesn’t give me contact. I try to ask her again about what was in my bag.if It was right and she cut me off again. She says it’s all there and then try to get to see if my sauces are in there she didn’t answer me and she just took my money put my money in my hand. I said excuse me you didn’t answer. My questions is there mild and medium in there and then she says, yes and then she just walked away and she was so rude. I get home and of course the order was wrong. The food tasted terrible so we threw it away! Wasted 50 dollars. I called back the to tell them they offered to redo the food but by that time I was done.I thought you know I’ve been there a lot of times I’ve ordered food from there never had never had a problem but today she was so rude and left a bad taste in my mouth and I will never eat there again. Literally the worst restaurant I have ever been to. You walk in and something seems off, as it smells like the toilets recently overflowed, and not like a restaurant where food is cooked. No one is there to greet you, and there are no signs directing you to either wait or to find your own seat. The chips are clearly straight out of a bag and the "salsa" is a spicy pico de gallo. The fountain sodas tasted flat, there was no kid menu, and the queso cheese was so watery that it didn't even stick to the chips. When it came to ordering food, the server had a hard time differentiating between the different kinds of beef, but I don't blame him, because they are all CLEARLY not cooked in-house. Ever eaten Steak-Ums? Pretty sure that's the same meat they use in place of "flank steak". My husband ordered fajitas and I've never experienced anything like the boiled mass of chicken and peppers he was served. When going to check out, that is when I found out it's a cash-only establishment. There were NO signs stating that, otherwise we would've turned right back around and eaten at a respectable restaurant. Staff: the staff is always on it. They keep our drinks full and are always kind. They always make sure our drinks are refilled before they are empty.

Building: building is spacious and very well taken care of. The bathrooms are easy to find for kids and always cleans.

Food: is always reasonably priced and portions are good size. Great lunch menu. Chips and salsa are provided and the salad is authentic. The quest is amazing. Anything on the menu is worth a try.

Parking: plenty of parking.

Star rating: 5 stars because the staff is great, building is taken care of, and the food is amazing.

I have no problem coming back here every chance I get. Cash only place with an ATM on site.
