My husband and I are visiting the area. We had never had deep dish before - were from New York State and I typically have a New York style slice. But I really wanted to try some deep dish and feels like the perfect state for us to try it in. I found this place online not too far from where we are staying. We picked up in person and he said the owners were very friendly kind and seemed to really care about their product. We ordered a large deep dish meat lovers. It was very fresh and hot and oh so delicious. After one slice I was full. I’m so excited to have more for a midnight snack and then more for probably breakfast lunch and dinner tomorrow lol. Lots of delicious sauce excellent crust flavorful and Im normally not much of a sausage person but this meat match up was delightful and it just had an overall great flavor. I would highly recommend and so would my husband! And what a great little pizza place with a small town feel to go and support! The price was right too!!…, just adding to this review that we ate some left overs the next day and it was just as good maybe even better than the first day yum yum the gift that...
Read moreCan’t even rate the food. Never got any food waited 3 hours for him to keep asking what we ordered and keep telling us 10 mins to never even made our food. Highly unsatisfied . Wednesday night my friend and I walked in and ordered 3 small pizzas. We were told to come back in 45 min because the guy was working by himself. No big deal. We gave him some time intact even 15 extra minutes. We came back to no food being ready and he had to search for our ticket he wrote our order on and we were told to wait another 10 minutes we would let like 20 more minutes go by and he would forget the what we ordered and keep telling us 10 more minutes and would complain bout body problems and we walked in the restaurant at 6:39pm and waited 3 hours for no pizza no validation and sad to say that was our first time stopping there and won’t be back. And we would watch him get everyone orders before ours and we waited longer then we should have. we got fed up to the point we just said forget it. 3 hours was outrageous , Such a very frustrating and disappointing experience. We...
Read moreI'm a bit of a critic but even so, this is clearly good pizza. However, don't make the mistake of comparing it to your typical, nation-wide, chains. Once you get to a certain level of quality in QC style pizza, things tend to blend together. How different is this from Clint's/Harris/Frank's, really? The differences are not great. I ordered a standard pizza with standard toppings, since I'm a purist. The crust beats Frank's overly floppy mess. The sauce is great - though it gets shadowed by the large amounts of cheese. It's been some time since I had Harris. Happy Joe's might as well be a Tombstone pizza. This was well made, cooked properly and hit the spot. What would give a pizza five stars, in my book, would be high end ingredients like house-made sausage, buffalo mozzerella, fresh herbs and to have these in a perfect balance. But this just isn't that type of place and that's OK. To those that say it is the best pizza they've ever had, I say you haven't tried too many great Pizzas and to those who say it's bad, I say...
