Walked in & purchased 2 orders to go at approx. 2:00 p.m. on a Saturday. My bill was $25 which I paid, then left. Took the food home to eat, as I had workers from out of town at my house working & could not leave after that. My cheeseburger had no cheese & and was loaded with mustard which I requested to go very very easy on. Mustard was oozing everywhere (WAY too much). There was barely any lettuce & tomato. I went back that evening early, to complain. They refused to give me my money back or make any compensation whatsoever because it had been "too long" even though I clearly stated I had workers at my home from out of town & could not leave. Either way it wasn't like I bought the food & then 2 or 3 days later went back to complain. I even had the food in the car with me. I also ordered nachos. The cheese tasted so soured, I had to throw the whole order out. All bad food for $25 & they refused compensation of any type. This was not the first time there have been issues. I previously ordered a chili relleno; got back home to eat & was shocked to see that it had NO cheese, sauce or anything. Just dry & tasteless. Some people warned me, but I gave them another chance. I'll never go back nor will I ever...
Read moreThe salsa and chips were "Fire"! The salsa was what homemade should taste like. It was super flavorful, fresh, and just the right amount of spicy. The chips were traditional thin corn chips having the expected complimentary taste when paired with salsa.
I had the combo #1. The crispy taco was spot on and tasty. The shredded chicken enchilada with red sauce was also good; however would be better if it were covered in melted cheese rather than the sprinkle of a few shreds that mine came with. The beans and rice were traditionally flavored, but the melted shredded cheese on the beans made it more enjoyable.
The waitress was prompt, friendly, and came back numerous times to ensure my dining experience was as enjoyable as possible.
The Floorplan layout was more like a takeout due to the open access of the kitchen. However, there were many tables and booths, so it did have that local eatery, restaurant feel. No fancy decorations or mariachi music, just a warm, and welcoming small town feel to this place.
Overall, the service and food were pleasurable. I will visit again and try their chile rilleno when the menu is expanded back its...
Read moreVery inconsistent food, service and proportions! We have eaten here probably a dozen times since we have been in the area (dined in twice and carried out the rest), unfortunately it is one of the better places in the area. There are times I would give this place 4 stars and times I struggle to give them 1 star, hence my 3 star rating. There are times I get a nice, filling, flavorful meal I would pay more than menu price for, then more times than not I wish there were somewhere better to go and could get a refund. We just can't wait until we can leave this area and find places that actually care about their customers. If you want a place good to eat in this area, try the Jazz Cafe, a little more expensive but the food is good. Just wish I could find a good Mexican restaurant in the area, you would think west Texas would be full of them, but nothing but disappointment , might have to try the places that close by 2 and just eat...
