We had a group of 5. We were seated in less than 10 minutes on a Friday night, and the restaurant was full. Our waitress was at our table almost immediately for drink orders; she was very friendly and efficient. The salmon dinner was the only one I would give 2 stars. The top of the Salmon was hard and the inside was rather tasteless and dry. It was well done; I ordered it medium. My side of yellow potatoes were only warm and kind of not cooked long enough for me. Under other circumstances (this occasion was a celebration) I would have sent it back. HOWEVER, the rest of the meals were fantastic! The other four meals were the pork chop, the lamb chops, the 18 oz ribeye steak and the stuffed rigatoni’s with shrimp. I have never cared for lamb but my brother shared his and it was moist and delicious. The ribeye was a perfect medium rare, as ordered, and said to be really good. The pork chop was amazing. 3 of us had the asparagus it was seasoned perfectly and was tasty. 2 of my family had the mashed garlic potatoes and said they were very good. My husband loved the rigatoni. To round things up, we all thought the place was great and would come back again. The waitress was prompt, efficient and friendly. Even though my dinner was a flop I still gave 5 stars because everything else...

Heard about this place from Melanie on Star 100.7. She mentioned how awesome their gyros were so I thought we should give a try as we are always looking for new places to go. We live in Greensburg so it was a 45 min. drive and let me tell you it did not disappoint.❤️ So worth the drive. I ordered gyro dip. OMG I could have just eaten that for dinner. Never heard of gyro dip before but now I want to try to make it at home. I had the salmon salad 😋 and he had the ribeye with side salad and tots. I tried the ribeye and it was melt in your mouth good. The service was good and shortly after we arrived there was a wait. We arrived around 5 on Friday. GPS took me left off main road to a dirt road facing a railroad track. I wasn't until I went to turn around that I saw the place being some trees🤦🏼‍♀️it is actually located next to a physical therapy place all of which is accessible at a red light. They also have a good size bar. ...

We stopped here last night because another local restaurant that a friend of ours owns was unexpectedly closed that night, so we tried By George. Let me tell you,as soon as we walked in, I was very surprised. I expected a small, possibly dingy place, but what I found was spacious, clean, busy and beautiful !

The waitress took our order quickly and I asked if it was always this busy. She said no one expected them to be this busy on a Monday night. (But since out friends restaurant was closed that night and only a few blocks away, we knew why).

We placed our order and had a longer than expected wait, but, again, they were unexpectedly busy.

The food was great, nice sized portions, the waitress was a gem and the prices were reasonable.

So, no complaints for By George. I've been hearing about this place, but didn't expect something of this caliber in Monessen...
