Keystone Bakery — Restaurant in Monessen

My last 2 attempts to buy goodies here went sour. I tried to buy a cake for a birthday and they flat out refused to do anything I wanted. I asked for half choc & half yellow and they said no. Then I asked if they would draw by hand a simple treasure map style design with x marks the spot & they said no. The lady behind the counter was very full of attitude & wouldn't even discuss it. So I ended up getting the cake at the grocery store and they did an amazing job! My 2nd attempt was just some simple cupcakes with sprinkles for a holiday party. The cake was dry & they barely put any icing on them let alone spare the sprinkles. I was completely embarassed when I opened the boxes at the party. They were way overpriced for what I got. What happened to the old Keystone? I'm officially done here. I'd rather drive to Bethel for some frozen cake than deal with...

My Family is from Donora Pa. Keystone Bakery is awesome. I've never gotten anything that was great!. My only thing is I only get up there a few times a year and it's always like a "last minute" decision to go. I end up buying a ridiculas amount if stuff. It freezes wonderfully ! Walked in to an empty bakery and as soon as we entered both employees went into the back. While we stood for 5 minutes waiting for service we heard conversation and one of them made 2 trips to the telephone, looked at us as if we were bothering jer and went about using the phone while we stood there.
