My actual goodness... Yall......Okay so let me tell yall about Carribean SOUL!!!!! They most definitely put the SOUL in soul food. I can tell by way that the chefs/cooks love what they do because it translates in the first & second bite of your food! When I say this food was AMAZING. ... I was soo weary of trying.... I've been disappointed so many times coming from living in central jersery to rural South Jersery its hard out here for foodies.... When I first moved down here 5 years ago sicklerville soul a.k.a.(Victorias kitchen) use to be good. They fell off BAD.... TOO MUCH SALT Then my haitian spot (right next to pikpon thai) moved and was replaced..... ššššš Then the only other somewhat good jamaican spot around here is Carribean Paradise in Sewell. Those who are from the area know that good & CONSISTENT soul food/carribean food is hard to come by..... Real ones know if you want good food for a reasonable price & good amt of food you have to venture out to Philly.... Comparing Carribean Soul to Carribean Paradise is like NIGHT & DAY! Starting with Carribean Soul I ordered through doordash the curry goat, rice n peas w/Cabbage & yams... It was a whole holy-ghost party on my taste buds.... Them flavors was flavoringggg....I came right back the next day and ordered the curry chicken, rice n peas,w/mac n cheese & yams. NOBODY in this area does Candied yams right! Until the Lord brought me to Carribean Soul.... They are exactly like how me and my mom make them. I love caramelized gummy yams!!!! The mac n cheese was good. I prefer my mac n cheese too be not too cheesy but to each their own it was still good... Now Carribean Paradise....they have good beef patties, but they are inconsistent. I would rate them a 3/5...... Their cabbage is terrible not flavourful what soever..... Food has smelt sour the few times that I've ordered from them... They even packaged my food w/plastic wrap leaving out my sides.... Like how do you purposely packaged a plate without sides.......They even denied me a side of plantains that I was willing to pay for!!!!..... They said they needed them for the platters.....First off plantains is APART of the whole platter.... If you know that you are constantly selling out you need to make sure you have enough in your inventory even when someone wants to order an extra side of them!! At times the plantains were even dried out smh...... That was the last straw for me... I was praying that God would bring another jamaican restaurant to this area. We thank God for answered prayers šš½šš½ On top of that Carribean Soul is only 10 minutes from my house!!!! Perfect location!! When I typed in the address I was like Lord your kidding me... LOOK NO FURTHER if you want close to authentic Jamaican food Carribean SOUL is the place.... * I will be back.... I am HIGHLY SATISFIED. I will take a pic of my food next time it was that good yall I...

From the moment I entered the restaurant, I was enveloped by a warm and inviting atmosphere that set the tone for the meal ahead. Ā Ā Ā Read moreWalking in this place I was greeted by nothing but beautiful smiles ! Had the tv going and music in the background which made the mood very welcoming. Looking over the menu I decided to order the Rasta Pasta, and a Side order of the Jerk Chicken. I was warned ahead of time that it might take a little minute since they produce their menu from scratch, and that is perfectly fine with me! I prefer quality over quantity when it comes to anything Iām spending my money on so I had no issues in waiting. Like any reputable establishment, the owner opened up my food containers when she brought them out the kitchen to make sure everything looked ok to me and I was beyond speechless when I saw that steam rising from that jerk chicken , as well as the quantity of pasta I received ! When I got home I was not surprised on how GOOD this food tasted !! It took me a few HOURS to finish it all! This was my second time ever eating Rasta Pasta and DAM!! The flavors in that container gave me pure ITIS! I just love when you can actually taste the hard work and dedication in a dish !! The jerk chicken was also something like I never tasted before ! Seasoned straight to the bone ! This is hands down one of the best Carribean restaurants in...
