Seen this new place open up so had to give it a try. Talked with waitress, she said they been open for about 3 months. In a few more months they plan to do a little bit of a buffet style as well and add things to the menu. ( Which already has a good selection & will also have take-out menus in the near future. )
I ended up getting the 4 Jalapeño Puercos as an appetizer and Choriqueso burrito as my main dish( which came with rice and beans. ) The Jalapeño Puercos were very good and the Choriqueso burrito was good, but a bit dry for me. Had to have a Mexican coke, then I tried the Horchata-cinnamon rice drink. (I loved the drink)
UPDATE: 2ND VISIT.
[ This time I got the Carne loaded fries, Carnitas tacos and the Quesobarritas tacos. Everything came out hot and very delicious. Ordered so much had leftovers. Even bought a pineapple soda for later. ]
Staff was super friendly, attentive and informative about the menu and what they plan on trying with the business.
Decor was ok. Simple but tidy. Nice large mural as you come in. Place was very clean.
Food was good overall and will definitely be back to try more. Looking forward to check out their buffet style they plan on doing. Definitely worth a try if you ask me.
P.S. I so wanted to have that cup my Horchata came in. Be perfect of some daiquiris, let alone I just love the look of it. I wonder if they'd sell me one. 🤔 haha
Update: Buffet is open. It is only on Friday, Saturday and Sundays from 4pm - 9pm or so. Definitely worth the try. Got a decent selection and just how many Mexican buffets do you see. Food was good as always and service was fantastic. Price was not bad ether. Roughly $22+ the cost of drink you get.
UPDATE:8-17-24 Place is doing great as I can tell. Food is delicious as always and service is fantastic. This last visit I got to try some of their desserts from the buffet. Each were very good. Nice flavor and texture. Also, dont forget to just come in and order off the regular menu, so many great options. On Tuesdays they have some great food deals.
Last Update: 5-5-25: Food is good as always and staff friendly and attentive. They have updated their decor recently. More nice murals up and festive lights. They always updating deals and buffets I believe is on Thursdays too now.(...
Read moreMexican buffet, didn't know this was a thing!
Honestly, tortillas were mediocre, kinda thick, a bit hard for my jaw to chew. Thick empanada shells too. I think the food didn't have the steam trays actually keeping the food warm, or the overhead lightbulbs, it was just fresh food and put out quickly, but quickly cooled down.
3 main buffet aisles, main course with meats, tortilla, taco shells, rice beans, corn dish, cactus, churros, some horchata like empanadas thing (cinnamon sugar covered, rice pudding like filled empanada), beef or chicken empanadas, vinegar jalapenos, etc. Center row were condiments/ salad bar like options. Pico de Gallo, shredded lettuce, variety of condiments sauces. Cilantro and lime. Last row were desserts, ensalada de manzano, pretty much unblended horchata, some sort of flan, tres leches cake, etc.
Drink order was taken before sitting down, had horchata, strawberry horchata, and a variety of agua frescas, and jarritos sodas of various flavors.
Variety of expected meats, ground beef, carne asada, carnitas, chicken fajitas, etc. they had hard shell taco shells, ground beef and cheese dip like a taco bell, but had both corn and flour tortillas for making tacos.
Left super stuffed. Maybe that's why there aren't many Mexican buffets, could get away with selling less at comparable prices and still feel full. But at a buffet of course you have to try everything 😂.
Ceiling must've been thick because I couldn't access phone data or GPS inside here.
They have a sign over the building, but the plaza signage near the road didn't have anything posted for this store. This might've been where the Yoho Mongolian grill used to...
Read moreI drove 80 miles today to try their food because of an ad I saw online. All I will say is it was worth it. We had the all-you-can-eat taco buffet, which consists of a variety of Mexican classics from build your own tacos to mini chimichangas and flautas... they feature a variety of sauces and salsas for dipping as well as a full-service toppings bar which included veggies and various Mexican cheeses. We arrived 30 minutes before closing, but we were still served and treated as if we walked in a the start of the shift. The staff was friendly and attentive even though they were ready to close up for the evening. We met the very pleasant cashier, who we later found out was the owner. I spoke to her when they opened for the day and told her I would be driving almost 2 hours to her restaurant to try he food. She thanked us for coming and even offered us to go containers since we did not have much time to enjoy the restaurant's offerings. We graciously accepted and took a sampling of items home for a late night snack/lunch tomorrow. The owner was even nice enough to give us a huge piece of Tres leches cake for dessert. Definitely a good value. 2 ADULTS & 1 CHILD $50.00. I have spent so much more for lesser quality food. We will definitely return if next time we are...
