SAL'S DELI — Restaurant in Monroe Township

I have been to Sal’s multiple times since they opened and the food is always great and the staff are always very friendly. If you’re ordering on the weekend be prepared to have an hour+ wait. It isn’t a negative though, I just plan ahead and call in my order. Today was the first time I ordered through Grubhub and the quality of the food was amazing as usual. We usually order breakfast…I love the pork roll, egg, & cheese while my son is a huge fan of the Big Daddy sandwich (3 eggs, 3 meats and cheese on Texas toast). The hash browns are always so perfectly crispy! Today I took a chance and ordered fries which I try to avoid on delivery orders because they always come soggy from any pizza place I’ve ever ordered from. I was pleasantly surprised that my fries, though still in styrofoam were fresh and crispy! If Sal’s can do it there’s no excuse why others can’t. EXCELLENT ALL AROUND!! You must try Sal’s! I had an incredibly disappointing and uncomfortable experience at Sal's Deli recently, and I believe it's important to share my negative encounter. Upon entering the deli to place an order, I was witness to a distressing incident involving a younger man who seemed to be an employee. He was questioning his coworker, the cashier, about his interaction with another woman regarding a sale.

Rather than handling the situation in a calm and professional manner, the cashier exhibited highly inappropriate behavior. He resorted to threatening the young man, going as far as saying he would punch him. What shocked me even more was when the cashier, after completing my transaction, continued to berate and threaten the boy, stating, "It's me or your mother." When my husband said babe you gotta try this place their food is amazing, good people, the service is outstanding.. I have to say my expectations were not high, it’s a deli.. I was so wrong, their food is incredible!! We ordered breakfast.. everything was amazing!! Their hash browns alone are worth the trip!! Eggs cooked perfectly over-easy french toast, my husband ordered a breakfast sandwich, my daughter had the omelette. I’m blown away by not only how delicious everything was, but the cost, 3 full meals plus a few extras for under $25!! There was a 30 minute wait which I’m sorry we always order food with that anticipation, good service and good food is absolutely worth the wait!! P.S… I kind of ate half the hash brown before I took the pic.....
