New Churches Chicken. No discounts for elders or veterans. After eating at this Churches Chicken several times I have revised my opinion of this restaurant. And reduced my rating from three stars to one star. If I could give it one half of a star I would but only because it is a new building. Even though it is a new building several times when I have stopped there the restrooms were a complete mess especially when the shops were busy. The Church's Chicken at this location has prices higher than most Church's Chicken restaurants. They do not honor the advertised prices discounts or coupons that most churches chickens do in fact when I ordered one item their current special for shrimp the process or twice as much as the advertised item and did not include all of the sides of the advertised item. Every time that I stopped there to eat during the normal rush-hour eating times they were you throw out of chicken french fries are the common items that most people buy they did not have it in stock or did not have any cooking or even on the way to being cooked. When I ordered items to go I found that the items were not what I ordered when I got home often less than what I was actually ordered and paid for. Even worse when I brought it to the employees attention on my next visit they were sorry but made no effort at all to try to correct the problem. In my opinion they act like they're the only chicken place in this area. When in fact there are several chicken places in this area if you are heading westbound on I-10 three exits away on 146 there is a Popeye's Chicken a Colonel Sanders Chicken and a and a new Chick-fil-A right off of the freeway. If you are going east bound on I 10 my advice is to stop a few exits before you get to the exit where the Church's Chicken is. Truckers this place advertise itself as a shell truckstop, however it does not have most of the true truckers amenities that are located not too far away. Prices are higher than most of the stations you will run across for both the gas and the food. My impression of the place is that it's run by an absentee owner that cares less about what local people think about the business and knows that most of the people stopping there won't be returning customers. I know I will not be going back. I encourage other people with bad experiences to make their...
Read moreJust left, sat in the drive through for 10 minutes with no one to address us or take our order. (Were the only customers besides the 2 men already eating inside) We even honked the horn trying to get someone's attention and still nothing. Decided to pull up to the window and sat another 5 mins and still nothing. Pulled up, parked, went inside and my husband saw 3 lady's just standing there in the corner talking to each other and told them we've been outside for 15 mins while they're standing there BSing. They responded with well we aren't serving you anything now with that attitude, which is fine cause we wouldn't of ordered anything anyways. I mine as well add that I've been here a total of maybe 10 times with me succesfully driving off with food 7 out the 10 times (because they shut it down early or like today didn't pay attention To take our order) since being out this way and twice of which the chicken was a mushy consistency (meaning it's old and reused) which will continue to happen cause they have practically no traffic to turn their food. Only continued to come because its 1 out of only 5 options around here. Won't be doing that anymore.
Now having said that, we own a very successful restaurant and are personally in the service industry. These employees will run your establishment into the ground. If they were my employees they'd be getting a mouth full and replaced ASAP.
Also note that I HARDLY ever leave bad reviews. As I finish this review I'm now off with my $70 worth of KFC.
Avoid this location if you can and don't bother coming at night anywhere an hour or so before closing cause they've been closed way before closing several times...
Read moreI pulled in with one car already at the window, waited several minutes before someone took my order, but wasn't a big deal. Lady was super nice and apologetic. Ordered a 10pc family deal, comes with two large sides. I asked for baked mac and cheese for one of them, agreeing to 50 cent upcharge for specialty side. Recieved my food and not only did I not get Mac and cheese, in it's place was one singular corn on the cob. Not even multiple corns, as it's a side for a "family" deal. Mashed potatoes had a gelatin texture, chicken wasn't bad but could definitely use more flavor. They were out of tea and half gallon jugs, so they offered me 5 large drinks of my...
