Tocos from a repurposed school bus....seems legit. This roadside gem is a hot spot for authentic Mexican food. We knew something must be good since there was a gang of people looking for the bus tacos.
We enjoyed the mountain air on a bright sunny day as we dined on some legit authentic Mexican food.
I got a couple steak and a couple pork taco hitters. Got what I expected a generous portion of meat that was well prepared and seasoned. Slopped on some of the hot sauce and they didn't stand a chance. They were gone pretty fast.
My son tried the steak fajitas. A typical fajita set up here. You got your tortillas, meat, and all the fixings paired with your standard rice and beans. Good portion and a pretty solid meal. I did snag his refried beans as he is not a fan. However, I did notice these weren't those caned refried beans. These were legit. They're very creamy and smooth. I could tell they were probably homemade. Definitely worth it and I enjoyed them more than your typical refried beans.
Overall, I got what I expected from the bus tacos. Authentic Mexican food that was delicious and I would definitely go back. These folks don't try to do anything fancy. They just try to serve authentic Mexican food out of a bus and they...
Read moreI am all about supporting local small businesses especially those moderately priced, however, this last trip last night will sadly be our last. We ordered $140 food online and my husband picked the food up and even asked if they were missing anything since there were only 3 boxes and we ordered at least 5 meals plus sides. The employee argued with him and said that the order was all there and they were closing so they were rushing him away. He got home and not only was half of our food missing but only one of the 2 meals we got was correct. Not sure what was in the other burrito we did not even order. Please make sure you are checking your online or pick up orders thoroughly before walking away. We got about $20 worth of food when all was said and done. Very...
Read moreI'm disappointed that I did not get to experience the same delicious food that everyone else had raved about in these reviews.
I ordered a creamy smothered pork burrito and it was one of the worst burritos I've ever had. I had to throw it away. The inside of the burrito was really dry. The rice was mealy in texture. The beans lacked flavor and somehow were also really dry. Actually, all of it lacked flavor. The thimble of salsa/sauce that was included was also nasty.
What a waste of money and time. This was made by real Mexicans too and I can't imagine them serving that quality of food to others or their own family. I will never be back. I'd give it no...
