Wild Mare — Restaurant in Montana

12/31/23. We went to the Wild Mare with friends New Years Eve for there special dinner!!!!! Wowwwww! 1000 stars doesn't sum this up! All 4 of business had the Bison Osco Bucco. Unreal. It was an absolute hit! It was served with the bone ( shank) and the mirror was amazing. Starting with the great salad with Champagne Vinegar and Sweet Chilli everything was seriously amazing. Our server Rebecca was equally outstanding as always. We go here alit and the other Waitress is equally outstanding as well. 1000 stars as always.

9/21/23 we just came from the Wild Mare. Phenomal. My wife had the amazing Beer Strogoffanoff and I had the walleye which was the special, amazing! Our salads we both had the Champagne Vinegarette! Wow. Our server was Rebecca and she was so personal and great. Our Hostess was a young lady named Hannah. She she Asli so professional. The wild Mare is in the tops of the best places we have found in Montana. Why go-to Missoyla, when you can go for a beautiful drive to Corvallis and get outstanding service, great atmosphere and outstanding food. We also had some Chardonnay and Old Zine Zinfandel. 100stars!

Update 7/28/23 Went there last evening with my wife and a fried. Wow! They are back to 5 stars! Started with the clam. Great. Then my wife and friend ordered the Beet Strogoffanoff. I order the Ahi Poki Bowl l. My wife got a salad with Champagne Vinegar eaten, was great and my friend and I got the soup. . It was fantastic. The Poki was fantastic as well. I also ordered a glass of red wine, the old vine zin " old biker" delicious!

I went here originally over 2 years ago. My first experience was fantastic.

I'm giving this a five based on expectations being over met... The outside is, well the neighborhood is sketchy... Inside is an interesting collection if decor. I feel like it's the worst but it's perfect here.. anywhere else it'd be a L. We waited a while the hostess was as unappealing to interact with as possible not a smile nothing she is not good.... Our serveR was Falon the only nice part of dinner she rocked..the food was horrible canned crab not even drained my steak swam in blood and crab water. My steak was three different temps... Idk how you turn mashed potatoes brown without gravy... Not to mention the boiled to death veggies.... This place is pretty gross outside and the foods pretty gross inside. We visited on a Saturday night at the 5pm opening. Service was good. Small confusion about who ordered what but it was straightened out. Three rib eyes and two prime rib specials. My rib eye was slightly overcooked for my medium rare order. The steak was thin cut compared to what you may get at the market or other steakhouses (more area, less thickness). Not wrong, just a different style. Taste was good. I ordered the twice baked potato which was a mistake:garlic mashed was the standard choice. Sides were on the small end of the scale.
