Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Montebello

I came in this evening at 7:30 pm to get dinner for the family. When the young lady asked what I would like I began my order with a number 8 Po Boy. Do you believe she didn't know what number 8 was. She had to turn around and look at the menu and said "oh". I then asked her for 3 of the $5 combo boxes. She looks over her shoulder and then tells me they don't have any more. I said what? She said they are out. So I asked her what do you have to replace it with, she said nothing. I told her forget it and I walked out. How can a place of business be out of their special at 7:30 pm on a Saturday when they close at 10:00 pm. I know the blame shouldn't be put on her but the manager. First and last time I will be coming here.

Four years later updating my review. Not a shocker it still rates a One Star. I placed my order online and it said ready for pickup at 7:10pm, I gave them an extra 5 and when I got there it still wasn’t ready. After speaking with the manager (Patricia) she informed me that they only have one cook on, What? on a Saturday evening. I didn’t get my food until 7:45pm and while she did give me extra food it wasn’t worth it when I still was missing 2 of 4 chicken strips and the box of shrimp she gave me was all burnt. Went on Sunday 9/10 @ approximately 7pm. Admittedly it seemed busy as the drive thru was backed up about 6 cars or so. So I walked and there was only 1 person ahead of me to order. After 5 minutes there still behind that 1 person I was not greeted or acknowledged. Come to find out neither was the customer in front of me. When both of us spoke up that neither of us had been helped the apparent manager a 5 foot 4 dark skinned Hispanic lady turned to look at us but still said nothing. At that point a gentleman who seemed to nonchalantly be walking by finally asked to take our order. And yet despite the noticeable displeasure from me and the other customer the apparent manager still did or said nothing. I couldn't tell you her or anybody else's names because they had no name tags. While waiting for my food, someone came in from the drivethrough who had an issue with their order and said manager fixed the issue with no apology and no concern for her lack of customer service. I finally got my food after 15 minutes for one platter combo. The name of the receipt is Mariela H. I believe her to be the manager. I visit this location today feeling very disrespected and unsatisfied with their service I went during my lunch break I received the wrong order I called and explain to them that my order was wrong and I was on my lunch break I was told that I need to bring back the food the way it was given and the receipt I explained to them I didn't get off till 3 I took back the food with the receipt my service from the lady Crystal was very very rude and unacceptable I asked for my money back I wanted a refund I was not satisfied with the food are the service from her she refused to give me a refund and did not want to remake my order I explained to her that I called at 11:30 when I was on my lunch and she told me to bring the food in as is and then to refuse to make my order after the foods been sitting there for 2 + hours finally my order was remade I visit this location quite often I will not be returning back are be returning for any of my company gatherings I felt very disrespected with the way I was treated...
