Read moreI was referred to this location by a friend who suggested I try it out.
My initial impressions... One solo employee out front who was cheerful and pleasant. Another cook out back doing the cooking. For service I'd rate it an A. I'd rate service an A+ had the employee out front cooled the place down.
I tried the fish (Breaded cod) and chips special. Not overly tasty, kinda bland and almost "costco-bought". The fries were just OK, but fries are pretty easy!
The big problem was the atmosphere. It was hot outside and just as hot inside. For soft drinks, all they offered were sodas in cans. And guess what? They were lukewarm :(. On a hot day and you only offer warm sodas? No cups with ice were even offered as an option. Endless refills are the norm these days and any place with only canned sodas generally gets only one visit from me.
To the owner or management; Please kick up the A/C when it's burning up outside. Offer fountain drinks accompanied with lots of ice dispensers, and lower the prices for a basic fish and chips meal.
Until then (in case a fountain drink machine is out of the picture), offer large cups of ice in styrophfoam cups with each can of expensive canned soda.
This small place has some potential so once a few rather "large" issues are addressed, I'd like to review this...
Read moreCame here for a late lunch/early dinner. The fish and chips here was amazing. The fish was freshly cooked to order and was very tasty--nice crispy batter coats the well seasoned, flaky fish. The fries (chips) were seasoned just right, they were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The tartar sauce that accompanied the fish was creamy and a bit tangy, which compliments the fish quite nicely. My friend had the short ribs plate and he said it was very tasty. The service was impeccable, the young lady offered me some refreshing cold brew jasmine tea--which was very fragrant and refreshing--while I waited for my order. Great food and great service--I highly...
