Los Monchies Mezcarrita Grill — Restaurant in Montevallo

Horrible take out. Had three simple orders and not a single one was correct after spending almost seven minutes on the phone trying to get the young lady to understand what I wanted.

Order 1, two tacos, steak and cheese only. Received two tacos, with onions and cilantro.

Order two, two tacos, steak and cheese only with queso dip and rice on the side. Received two tacos with onions and cilantro and no queso dip in sight.

Order three, steak fajitas. Received a plate of fajita stir fry with no tortillas included.

They also included a fourth order that I have no idea what it was. Charged me 12.99 for an order that wound up in the trash.

I was told it would be ready for pick up in 10-15 minutes. 35 minutes later the food came out of the kitchen.

I have noticed this restaurant get an overhaul. I live out of town but work in the area and after seeing the reviews had to give them a try. Honestly the rest of the Mexican food in Montevallo hasn't impressed me. The service was great and I was surprised it was so slow but the food was great. They even accommodated when I asked for a compachano taco which isn't in the menu but they had the ingredients. It's hard to explain but everything tasted really great but the flavors could pop a little more to make it perfect that and maybe a chip warmer. But I would highly recommend if you're in the area. Came here for lunch. The chips and Salsa were yummy !! Service was great but the food was even better. We did the ceviche, pork pastor tacos and carne tacos. The corn tortillas were made fresh. All was delicious and we will definitely be coming back. Cleanliness is a.big thing for me and everything was clean and well done. It is a 10 out of 10 for a small local authentic meal.
