Moved into the area about a year ago so this review is based on several visits (10 or more). The ice cream is reasonable and great but don't ask for 2 spoons because you will get a lecture about how they have already given you 50 ( that was the owner) wanted to know if we were throwing them on the floor. Clearly that was not us because we had not asked for any extra spoons except for the 1. Next visit we bought a larger shake to split between 3 kids and asked for 2 extra small cups. We were informed each cup was an extra .75. Really?! I understand they are a small business and have I have no problem with them recouping their cost but styrofoam cups are 50 for $1.72, at Walmart, that is 3 1/2 cents a piece. We paid the .75 and asked for 2 8 oz cups instead of 1 medium clear cup. This became a huge embarrassing issue as the guy giving us our food said he could not give us the cups for free, the grill kid was yelling, yes yelling, " We are not giving away free cups". It was clear that this was a issue these kids had been drilled on because they totally froze in responding to us. So the owner comes out and apologized but still tried to defend his policy. Again I have not problem paying for the cups but being gouged for a .04 cup at the rate of .75. Many people had water cups, I have no idea whether they had to pay for these. People were given styrofoam containers for left over fries and not charged more. For that matter the soda machines are open free refills, who is to say a family could buy one drink and refill over and over no extra charge. We will not go...
Read moreGood ice cream and malts, giving it one extra star. Other than that, unimpressive. The burgers are not great, taste like the ones from the grocery store and baked in your oven at home. Mushroom Swiss is just brown gravy with canned mushrooms. The dining room is unappealing to the eye, all too bright white. The owner is very rude to his employees, jumping down their backs for everything. While sitting in the restaurant I heard an employee ask to go to the bathroom. The owner then repeatedly asked him how long it would take and after being told 5 minutes 4 or so times he got ignorant with the employee, telling him he can use the restroom on break, because 5 minutes was a break, and if the owner “saw it dribbling out onto the floor, then they could talk.” It also seemed as if the entire time the owner was targeting one employee in particular. Saying all this to one, not allowing him to use the restroom but allowing another one to step outside and smoke a cigarette. Also allowing his other employees to converse with each other and the customers but yelling at this one employee to get back to work any time he stepped away from the grill for a...
Read moreThis place is a hidden gem. First off the burgers were amazing, undoubtedly one of the best burgers I've ever had and was made with fresh ingredients. No soggy lettuce or tomatoes here. My niece enjoyed a turtle sundae, cheeseburger, and fries. She loved it all but couldn't finish everything, portions are very generous. I ordered the Bundy Burger which is a pound burger. I don't eat bread or sides due to insulin resistance so this was my omad just the burger and veggies, it was so delicious. It's difficult to go out and order just a burger patty with the fixins and truly enjoy my meal but the burgers here are so good. The service didn't fall short either. The staff was incredibly kind and informative, the young man even made sure I realized I was ordering such a big burger before processing the order completely. The owner (I'm assuming) came out and spoke to a young man who had also ordered the Bundy and I overheard the story behind the name. Just a great little place that I'll definitely return to...
