Food was ok but mediocre at best. This place needs a serious cleaning from the interior to the rude employees! I spent over an hour not only trying to digest the food but the nasty attitudes of the staff. This is my honest experience & review. I was accompanied with someone & we were the only blacks who were actually dining in. There were 2 other guest, 1 military family, the employees periodically came to check on them & ask if the needed anything but not 1 word to us! We have yet to be acknowledged! We were totally disappointed. It was like we were invisible. If you are military I would suggest this place, since them seem to cater to military patrons. I was asked to not do this review & to just let it go but it's my opinion when you go to patronize a business you should at least be acknowledged & treated decent. The most decent employee there was dark complexed woman by the name of Tiffany who provided great service. However, the heavy set lady on the end was just nasty, loud, & rude! Decent food, but I'd rather patronize Davis Cafe or Simply Southern where it's a more pleasant experience, cleaner, & my business is...
Read moreThe food is delicious definitely a good place to go if you want some southern home cooking. There is a dining area but I would not dine in because the AC is not working properly (which is why they lost a star) although they do have fans to help circulate the air. They are a bit pricey I paid 16 dollars for my plate.
Now was it worth the money? In my opinion yes, I had smothered pork chops on a bed of rice Mac and cheese and the most delicious collard greens which will be on my plate every time I order from them as well as a buttered bread roll it was either that or cornbread.
The menu is pretty big although they sale certain things on certain days of the week they have everything from pig feet to chitterlings fried Chicken to fried fish. They also have a wide variety of sides too!!
There's even a drive thru in case your in a bit of a rush. It's best to call in though and make an order before you get there if you can. There drive thru speed is that of a typical fast food restaurant (this is NOT fast food).
So four stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐ for Mrs. B's Home Cooking I'll definitely be going back for...
Read moreLove supporting small businesses, but dislike wasting money. I saw a very popular blogger posted up at this business and giving kudos and raving about how good the food is. But in my case, I did not get that good quality service. I literally stopped by this restaurant after a long drive from New Orleans, before heading East on I-85. On a hot sunny day, it was hot inside as well. There was one car in the parking lot, one car in the drive thru, one person in line at the counter. Food didn't look tempting to me, but I trusted whom I thought was an unbiased reliable source. Listen, I ain't never eating raw food. That is what I got. I asked for baked chicken, cabbage, corn bread muffin, black eyed peas, and white rice. I bought a plate, drove 80 miles home, then sat down to eat, but ended up tossing the plate. Judge for yourself. See my video. Anyway, I just really wish they would pay more attention to foods served. Maybe I will stop by another day. But it is going to be a good minute. I cannot readily recommend...
