Miss K's Home Plate — Restaurant in Monticello

I usually don’t do this, but this restaurant seriously needs to be held accountable. I ordered a chicken biscuit, and what I got was not chicken. The meat was mushy, overly soft, and didn’t even have the texture of real chicken. It felt undercooked and borderline spoiled. It was disgusting and honestly made me question what I was even eating.

On top of that, my friend ordered grits—and they were hard. Like completely inedible, crusty, dry, and clearly not fresh. How do you mess up grits?

This place is serving unsafe, low-quality food that could seriously make someone sick. It’s not just bad—it’s a health risk. I will absolutely be reporting them to the health department. Do not eat here unless you want to gamble with your stomach.

They need to be shut down or at least inspected...

The club sandwich is perfect. Assortment of meat, cheese, chopped lettuce, mayo and tomato.
