I absolutely LOVE Mels Deli! I find it very interesting and really suspect that this Jason Weiner trashed this business from the moment he sat down and ended his comments with, go a mile further to Dollys Diner.... what? While Dollys Diner has great food as well, and I find it so unkind and unprofessional for a person who obviously has personal interest in Dollys, to publicly smear Mels Deli. I can attest 100%, hands down to Mels Deli being clean, welcoming as well as provides awesome food and service. Take note of all other reviews. Was a nice experience doing lunch here. I’m writing this comment because I want to apologize that I did something stupid that might ruin someone’s day… When we were paying, the girl who served us was gone for a second. I thought we done and there was no option to tip, so I put my tips in the bowl. But then the girl came back and I realized the payment was not finished yet. So when I signed, my friend told me to put 0 in the tips because we already did it by cash (but no one saw it T_T). I feel bad to do it even though I did tip… I hope the staff see this and knowing what happened and don’t be angry if you saw a 0, I didn’t...

I am so impressed with Mel's diner. I have been there before but the staff at Mel's is top notch and should be recognized. My college best friend and her little girl came to town to visit. We walked into Mel's on a Saturday at 1:40, not knowing until we read the door that they close at 2. The staff welcomed us in, provided us top notch service. While also asking the little one if she wanted a tattoo and a sticker page to work on while we waited for our meal. We were treated with kindness and didn't feel like we were being rushed at all.
