Custom Pie and Bar — Restaurant in Moorpark

This is the third family ownership that I've been personally acquainted with at Custom Pies and after the most recent pizza I've had I can say that their 5 Star recipe is still there. You'll know it's done right because you'll always want to finish the crust. I also wanted to add that a 20 buck regular size pizza to me is a fair deal and I look forward to them adding larger sizes in the future.

My recommendations to the owners is to hand spin the pizza in the air in front of the customer like the previous owners and to upgrade the bar with either Pinball, Pool Table, or an Arcade cabinet.

Unfortunately they no longer serve ham cheese mustard pazzinis or mac and cheese pizza, but the future of Moorpark pizza at Custom Pies is...

We stopped in on a weekday night during dinner time and the place was empty. Even though there was no one else in there, we barely got a welcome. They no longer have the brussel sprout salad which was a disappointment. The pizza took 30 minutes and the cheese pop overs took 40. I get it’s made to order but…that’s a long time for any food. They gave us two plates when there were three of us and we had to ask for water. The owners then made their own pizza, quicker than our was made some how, and went outside to eat it leaving us alone inside the restaurant. The Pizza is honestly to die for as i am a daily eater here but it’s also extremely expensive for an area with a burger joint right next to it i can go and get a mean for 6$ there instead of coming here and paying 13 dollars for a personal pizza and a drink. sure the quality is good and the pizza tastes amazing but still 13$ is way to much. and for anyone else wanting to eat there but is vegan not such a good idea every time i’ve gotten a salad the crotons have been stale or soft and chewy. like come on it’s CROUTONS how do you mess up croutons the owner is a good guy and a great chef but he needs to focus on customer happiness.
