Each and every time we visit the UP the first stop over the bridge is Suzy's pasties! A few times we have gotten there before it opened so we patiently waited for the shop to open. Her pasties are Second to None both on this side of the bridge and in Mackinaw City. The crust is so light and Flaky and they are filled to capacity. These pasties require no gravy and can be eaten by hand as the crust is not hard, dry and extra heavy at the edge. During our recent visit we stopped there on our way to Paradise with the plan to stop back on our way home a couple days later. Unfortunately Suzy's is closed on Wednesdays so keep that in mind when planning to stop by. In years past I've gone to Hunt's Mackinac Pastie & Cookie Company but had a really difficult time finding their new location, then only to find they were closed. (If I remember correctly they used to be right on Huron Street--much more accessible.) At any rate, I'm glad I stopped at Suzie's. If I'm ever up in the area again I'll...
