I love this place!
No it's not Dairy free and that is heartbreaking for my husband because the food is amazing! My husband tried treating & cheering me up with a trip & food truck food, even though he can't eat it. Super sweet. It worked! The food is delicious Hot, fresh and flavorful The homemade garlic oli on the white fish tacos.. chef kiss! Absolutely could buy a jar of it! That's what makes these tacos better than Pink Pony on mackinaw Island (those are super non breaded delicious too) and that's saying something I'm a palet foodie. I'm not really interested in the size but the flavor and experience that food triggers. The tacos are fantastic. I do not doubt the vension burger would be as great especially with it being fresh. Hopefully one day no dairy in the buns so others can enjoy this food. I feel so guilty he can't. The guy working the window had great customer service Its a refreshing place An environment that doesn't exists in most food places anymore.
My only complaint I wish the U.P would make their own dairy free batter and not rely on Drake's would be my only complaint. Almost every food place he took me to up there used the same Drake's batter.
Worth stopping. I definitely would if my hubby could...

As someone who lives in Michigan, spends a lot of time up north, cooks professionally, and runs a food truck catering business, I’ve eaten at just about every restaurant in St. Ignace—most of them more than once. The food truck itself was spotless and clearly well-built. The staff greeted me warmly and carried themselves with professionalism and confidence. You could tell they knew exactly what they were doing.
The prices were fair, the portions were generous, and everything was fresh and homemade. The fish—perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside without being greasy or soggy—was some of the best I’ve had. It’s exactly what any real fish lover is hoping for.
I devoured my meal and left already looking forward to coming back. If you’re passing through St. Ignace—whether you’re with friends, family, or riding solo—do yourself a favor: skip the downtown spots and stop at this truck. Order the whitefish. You won’t be...
Read moreWill & Gabe were very nice until there was a problem. My husband had a fried whitefish sandwich. I ordered grilled whitefish. My first bite my mouth was full of bones. My husband boned my fish after I had to spit out my mouthful because of the bones. I ate the rest carefully. The flavor was good. My last bite had a bone that was too far in my throat to spit out. My throat still feels funny. My husband told them about the bones. One guy said I never had a problem with my supplier and walked away. ( He had been talking on his phone.) My husband showed the other guy. I wish I hadn’t given...
