Carbon City's hands down best Mexican Hispanic eating joint around. The helpings were moren enough to push your belly off your backbone and the food was dead on good. I had thair Chili Verday which was chunks of beef cut up and cooked in the green sauce. The chilli Colorado was good too so I wanted the green chili this time. Son lemme tell youns it hit the spot and I mean it was spiced just right and the beef cooked right where it ort to be with some good chewing left in it. Now on that same plate they give me a mess of refried ( I aim to try the regular fried beans one day) and a heap of rice to chase the beef down with. The portions were right much so you ain't gonna leave hungry. Get a glass of the horchata to drink it all down with too. Mighty good drink they have at 5he good Mexican places and it sure complimentes the meal and the variety of salsas. If you're cravin some good food Mexican Hispanic or otherwise you'd be mule kicked in the head not to go there. Service was wonderful and the wait time was perfect. You got time to eat chips and have a talk with a date or a friend without having to talk around the chewin of your food. But you don't have to wait so long you're talking marriage, they get the food out just right. If you get in a hurry just stumble up the street to that Bell joint then rush on before somebody sees you passed up a gold mine for an...
Read moreThis was our first time eating here, but it seems to be a very popular place judging by the fact that the parking lot is always full. Inside, the restsurant was clean and comfortable and moderately quiet, with a lot of outside light through the windows. The complementary chips and salsa were OK. The menu offers a wide selection of choices. I ordered a combination of chicken enchilada and spinich enchilada with a side order of rice. It came with red sauce and I would have prefered salsa verde, but that's my fault since I should have specified which. However, knowing it was our first visit, perhaps our waiter could have asked my preference. My wife ordered the chicken quesadilla, which didn't come with any side dishes or lettuce or sour cream, etc. The food tasted average ... not bad but not exceptional either. The portions were adequate and the food came promptly from the kitchen. The price was very, very reasonable. They also have margaritas, wine in bottles or by the glass, as well as some Mexican beers on tap. I would like to go back again and try some other dishes before making a final judgment whether it will become one of our usual Morganton restaurants...
Read moreYou know it’s a special place when first of all the food is great, my son loves it and second they go above to create an atmosphere to ensure that their customers get #1 service. I live out of state and knew that my son was eating there with my grandson for his 32nd birthday; just the 2 of them. It’d been a long hard day so while on the phone with him eating I was able to call on another line and explain that my son was presently there eating with my grandson. The caller asked if he had a beard lol I was certain he had the right table. I went on to explain that it was his 32nd birthday and I could almost hear the excitement in the callers voice when he said, “ yea yea no problem at all, we got this.” They celebrated with my son and grandson. These guys have no idea how much they made his day after having such a challenging day it ended with a sombrero hat, cool whip, and a song lol Thank you...
