The building is simple and plain to me those types of restaurants are always like Gold. I decided to take a chance. The lady at the register was very nice, and the Cook was in sight you could tell they were very clean people as each order I watched the Cook make she cleaned after herself very well. The food was hands down the best Hispanic food I've ever ate. I have looked everywhere for a true tamale. The Mexican Tamale was truly the best I've ever ate.The rice could be better as I love Mexican Rice. I got a bunch of food and needless to say everything was so delicious. Food is definitely authentic. However, that being said.... everything was just average not a whole lot of flavor. The papusas did not have any flavor and the curtido was not spicy and no flavor. The Carne asada tacos were just average, there again not much flavor. The steak fajitas were just average, the vegetables need to be cooked more, beans were a tad undercooked, rice was ok, but once again needs more flavor. The one big thing that I did see (the bigger reason for two star rating) that is a big no no in the resturant biz. I don't visit here as often as I should. This place is great, one of the absolute best in the area, for a quick authentic Mexican meal, or just a quick snack. The servers don't speak much English but they always get the order right and are just so sweet. The corn tortillas are hand made to order and honestly the best tortillas I've had anywhere near here.
