The Pizza Shop and Sister's Ice Cream — Restaurant in Morristown

Everything I'd expect from a privately-owned restaurant and ice cream parlor. The food is mostly delicious, and staff has always been attentive. We come here about every week or two. The pizza is my favorite. Not a lot of crust, a slight bit of crunchy goodness at the edge. Plenty of toppings and sauce. Goes great with an order of mushrooms. We've tried several sandwiches and subs, and experience no disappointment. Good tenderloin, good curds, good wings, and good hoagies with plenty of filling. The nachos look amazing and are next to try on the list. The shrimp...well, whatever distributor you use emphasizes bread a bit much over the teeny shrimp, but everything else we've tried is pretty good. I'd like to know how you manage to cut the fries into V's. It's both a side item and a mystery. A tasty, tatery mystery.

The employees have always been prompt in taking our orders. They're mostly younger, HS-age-ish folks, so yea, there's some giggling and whatnot. But hey, it's an ice cream place...you have to be able to have some fun at an ice cream place. They've never been obnoxious or rude. Just pleasant and helpful when you address them. Our food has always been brought to us fresh and hot, with a sense of professionalism you would find at most other sit-down restaurants. The dining area has always been clean on our visits, save for the couple times some kids were attempting to throw their trash away from across the room.

The ice cream has some magic ability to harness the chill of the Antarctic for quite some time, giving it about a 33% higher chance of brain freeze. I've never seen such a cold without freezing the ice cream into chunks, but they manage it. This is super handy when you're bringing it home. It's chilly, it's tasty, it's worth a try if you've never had it. Their large Blustery comes in just under $8, but it's...massive. One of the few places whose large soda is the same size as large ice cream. You love ice cream? Snag a large Blustery. You won't think for a second after they hand you that behemoth that it's not worth it. I know they were out of chocolate for a bit of the winter, but you also have to understand, when reading these reviews, that parts are super hard to come by post-C19. I had the same difficulty in getting parts for repairs at home. Most likely not the fault of the Sisters, but the supply chain and state of the economy kind of thing.

All in all, definitely worth checking out and trying at least the pizza and ice cream. We bring visitors here and will definitely keep...

I'm going to have to think very hard if I ever will go back this place. The food is good and I love the ice cream. However the ice cream machine with twist ice cream was broken down for a month. I called several times only to be told. Nope not fixed yet. Then tonight when I called to see if they were open until 10pm. or if they were closed early. I was told by a guy that sir we are open until 10pm tonight. I get in my car and drive from Rushville and get there around 935-940pm. The girl in glasses said sorry were closed. The website says open until 10pm Saturday evening. I understand if the grill closes at 945 pm. However I was there 25 minutes before closing time. Next time if someone calls and they are told yes we close at 10 pm. You should let people know that will not serve them after 930pm. I hate dishonesty. After watching the female with light red curly hair make a dish of ice cream last night I will not be going back unless I watch them make my order. She filled the ice cream dish up and half of it went over the side…with her bare hand she took it and scooped it into the dish and added more ice cream ontop and then wiped her hands on her pants. She then was touching her hair and face while making the order. Gross and uncalled for! I hope it’s corrected and she is watched for a while. We do enjoy coming here as it’s really the only place in town. We went on 8/13 as well and that ice cream was SO good. Normally it’s not the best but it was actually good and creamy.
