CL Pizza Co — Restaurant in Morton Township

August 13,2022 Dinner @ 8:30pm What can I say absolutely nothing good. This was once our favorite place to eat for a really good meal. NOT ANYMORE!!! They must be under new ownership because the woman who owned this would have never aloud this behavior to take place. We came in to pick up our usual order of Baked Rigatoni.The staff was rude and to busy holding hands and playing kissy face to attend to the customers. We wait twenty minutes for an order that only takes 15 minutes. The take home orders at one time were bursting open with food…one of the many reasons we loved this place. NOT TODAY!!! My order had 15 noodles, no meat in the sauce and barely any cheese. Chef Boyardee out of the can would have been better. OH, IT GETS WORSE!!! I called in to let them know about the order and see what they could do to rectify this matter. When I called the young lady who answered the phone was very polite when I asked to speak with the manager. Unfortunately, she forgot to mute the line so I heard the staff saying “put it on speakerphone so we all can hear, get there name so we can SPIT in their food”.I won’t repeat the rest as you would be just as offended as I was. When the manager got on the line and I explained you should really have your staff put the phone on hold so the customer can not hear their snide remarks. He did not even respond, apologize or try to rectify the matter. Instead he said “so what’s your problem” which is extremely unprofessional. When I explained our order was lacking it’s usually amazing luster he simply said “ we are busy it’s not our fault you didn’t get enough to eat”. THEN PROMPTLY HUNG UP THE PHONE! Actually sir that is your fault. As pleasing the customer is what keeps your customers coming back and your business afloat. I will not be recommending this restaurant to anyone in fact I will be telling them to avoid it!!! Hopefully, this review sheds light on a few flaws in your staffing, the changes in the quality of food and last but not least the common sense that you should treat people the way you would want to be treated. I pray this knowledge allows you the chance to reevaluate this situation before you no longer...

We stopped here with some friends to grab a pizza. We tossed it up in the air which place to go and CL was the choice to try. That was an unfortunate decision.

The place is fairly clean and the atmosphere is nice. The issue was the speed of service and the quality of food. The waitress was not rude in any way but only returned to our table very seldomly to check on any needs, changes, or status.

The place had two other couples inside with us and we waited for over an hour for our food to arrive. We nearly left without it arriving. The couple behind us also had service issues and was not happy with the speed of the food delivery.

When the food did get to our table, it was not very good. The pizza was similar to frozen pizza. I would actually go so far as to say I have had better frozen pizza. I would not recommend coming here for pizza. We didn’t try anything else so I can’t attest to anything else.

They did have a few people waiting to pickup food, which could have been the reason ours was taking so long. Either way, I can’t recommend going. If you do, leave...

Four Stars – Great Service & Atmosphere, But Hoping for More Toppings Next Time

We stopped in for a bite and overall had a great experience! The service was excellent—Kelly was an amazing server, and the manager on duty was super kind and helpful. I also loved that they had a local winery’s hard cider on tap—such a nice touch that supports the community and gives you something unique to try!

We ordered a Detroit-style pizza, which we knew would have a thick, bread-style crust, but unfortunately, about 90% of it was just bread and only 10% was actual toppings. For the price (and being a pizzeria), I really expected more substance. The pizza had eight slices, but only four of them really had a decent amount of toppings. That was a little disappointing.

On a positive note—the portion of fried pickles was awesome! Super generous and definitely a highlight of our meal.

We’ll definitely be back because the staff and overall vibe are great. I just hope next time the pizza is a little...
