Update August 2024 - I've raised my score from 1 to 3 stars after visiting this place a second time. This time we had a party of 14, and had a much better experience. The outside patio is a great place for a large group, especially with dogs. Our server was great and the food came a lot faster than I expected (although I did have really low expectations on this front). I would guess we waited less than half an hour for the food to arrive. The food itself was decidedly 2 star. Most items were quite bland, but serviceable and edible, especially given the location. Overall it seems like one of the best options for a large group in the area, even though the food is only okay. The service was the standout feature during both of my visits. Original review follows:
We had a party of 13, so obviously it will take longer than normal, but we called ahead to ask if they would be able to handle us and they said no problem. After 2 hours and 15 minutes we were told they were "starting" making our food and that it would take another half hour. Apparently there were other orders that had been waiting even longer. I expect to wait a while with a party this size but not this long. Our server Audrey was continually pleasant and worked hard to make sure we were as happy as possible during our long wait, she made it a little better. When food arrived several items were incorrect, and after waiting over three full hours the final pizza was never delivered and we were told the kitchen had no more. Audrey felt that she should give us her own money to make up for this (we had already paid so it couldn't be taken off the bill), which is a sign of how horribly mismanaged this place is. We sat outside and it was pleasant on the patio, and we played some of the games to pass the time. We didn't bowl but the lanes looked nice. Avoid this place for food until the management learns how to treat their employees...
Read moreSuper disappointed. When they first opened I loved their nachos, nice portion of meat on top. Now? I'm not kidding when I say MAYBE a tablespoon of meat. Cheap chips, canned nacho cheese, jarred salsa, a few tablespoons of sour cream. Kids make better nachos. Their potato salad is the same stuff you buy at the grocery store, canned baked beans. And smoked meat is a joke!!! An employee kindly showed me their smoker and how they cook the meat. They cook the meat on the charcoal grill, WRAP IT, then place it in the smoker. It should be called Milltown grilled meats. Not smoked. And the brisket, for what they charge we shouldn't have got a hugw chunk of fat!!! Literally almost the entire piece was inedible. We complained and showed the waitress whom just apologized and walked away. Side portion of the cheap potato salad was $5 and maybe 3 tablespoons. We watched employees bring bags of dinner rolls from behind the lanes. They tasted as bland and simple as they looked. Bowling side is over priced but very nice. The bar is nice. Bowling and drinks is the only reason we go there. Spiffys and the Bucksnort has better burgers if you want a burger. We planned on going to their Thanksgiving dinner thing they had, but not at $120 a person. Lol! I highly recommend elsewhere for food. This place has so much potential if they would actually make their food and not buy premade and overcharge their customers. They get 2 stars for the bowling side and the awesome ladies at the bar....
Read moreIf i could leave 0 stars i would. Too many kids running the place with zero management. It was pure chaos. Ordered drinks, played one game before it turned to night bowling. We were seated and told we could order food. Waitress came, took our order, including an ice water and a beer, then came back a few minutes later to say they had stopped serving food because "they were running out of everything". The blonde waitress that took our order was clearly talking bad about our table because we were upset we waited to eat all day so we could eat at the bowling alley. It was very obvious she was gossiping. She then came back a few minutes later to say they were serving pizza. We said nope we are leaving. Still couldn't even manage to bring our beer or water. She then went back to gossip some more. We then stood in the sorry excuse of a line zig zagging in and out of peoples tables to pay for our game, along with many other very irritated customers. 3 girls behind the counter, and only 1 was assisting with the volume of customers. One was completely ignoring everyone, and the other was making snarky comments when customers would ask her questions. This was an awful experience. Myself and the 3 others with me were very excited to come try this bowling alley a little closer to home. After our experience, not a single one of us will ever go back. Take my advice and make the trek to Yelm for a better...
