Odell's Sandwich Shop — Restaurant in Mount Airy

The slowest place in Mount Airy to start with and I could understand that if the food was good but it wasn't. I'm on a fixed income and me and my wife eat out maybe once a month so we picked Odell's this month what a mistake that was. I stopped bye while I was in town to get us something to eat. I made it home sat down and got ready to eat with my wife took a bite of my sandwich it wasn't like I ordered it and really greasy and the hush puppies were black. So I went all the way back down there to get them to make it and decide to get a hot dog basket instead of the nasty ground steak sandwich basket and it was just as bad. The hot dog was ice cold inside and the hush puppies wasn't cooked all the way either. So instead of driving back down there the 3rd I called and asked for the manager and told him what had happened and he just said OK and hung up the phone on me. He never offered to make me another order or offer me credit for another or even say he was sorry which at this point I don't want the credit or any food from them also. I will also tell all my friends and family and everyone else I know to never eat there because of how the food was and I will leave this kind of review on every site I see that is associated with Odells so people will know and not waste their money or time bye eating there. I always tip really good and am super neice to people in the food industry because my niece is in that line of work so I know how they get treated and this was a very unprofessional way to run a restaurant. The date is 05//03/2025 time 17:50 is I got the first order and the total was $13.91 plus tip and gas for 2 trips. I bet no one reaches out on here because that's how little they care about there customers. Oh yeah and a ground steak basket is higher than a hot dog basket and never offered me the difference. I really hated to make this post because I have ate there my whole life and I'm 47 now. Shame on y'all Odell's...

I had not eaten here in a while and couldn't remember why until I got home with my order. I ordered me, my husband and my child food. I ordered my child a cheeseburger basket with only ketchup and pickles. We got the food and left for home so my child could start on their homework. When we got there I opened the bag and my child's food was of course the one on the bottom. I opened it to find mayo, slaw, tomato and who knows what else on it. Never did see the pickle. So I called back up there and was told to come back.....seriously?? I live across town and we had already started settling for the night and they want us to load back up drive all the way back through town up 89 because they didn't listen when I gave my order which the boy repeated back to us correctly. I thought maybe with the new ownership this place might be good to eat at. I was so wrong wasted 6 dollars on food that went in the trash. I get behind with appointments and try to make the day easier and stop for food and it is completely messed up so I have to go home and cook anyway should have done that from the start. I want be back i am going to try to attach a photo of the cheeseburger and I tell you what I would not serve anything that looks this bad even if it was the correct order. Wasted money want...

O'dels has got the last dime of money they will ever get from me. I fear its the new owners fault. Ordered chef salad which was fine(how can u mess up a salad)cb fine, big moe fine, and a chicken tender basket with pot. wedges. Chicken was burnt and they put in buffelo chips instead of wedges. Told them bout it and they replace with wedges but asked for the chips back so here we were had to wait on wedges then they wanted the chips back which would have been fine except we had to dig everything out of bag again. I ask are u kidding. No just doing what they told me to do. Well by this time food getting cold and this was their fault not mine and they want chips back. And they only put 2 tenders in this time(there were 3 last time) and they were burnt and looked like they had been cooked awhile. I have never been so disappointed in my life. And we did eat there alot but not anymore. Hope they enjoyed those chips. I wouldnt havnt eat them anyway. lol So theis stunt caused then a good customer. Eat...
