My family hasn’t had an appetite for days because we have Flu A. I had a craving for Mexican food so I called the order in and my friend went and picked it up. She dropped it off at my door and left so I opened the door and grabbed it. I brought the food back in my house and distributed the food. I open the side of cheese sauce and pour it over my chimichanga meal. I take two bites and realized something is too spicy. I’m still recovering from the Flu so I lay down after those two bites. I get a little rest and get up and try the chips with cheese dip. That’s when I realized it was the cheese sauce that was too spicy. I didn’t have the energy to call before they closed so I called today which is the next day. Here is where it gets crazy. I called the restaurant and told the owner about the issue. She told me to bring the food back for a refund. That’s the crazy part; I told her several times that I had the Flu and she didn’t care because she just wants the food back. That is the most unsanitary thing ever! She wanted my friend to be exposed to the Flu while getting the food that I ate off with the Flu just so she can refund the order. Not only putting herself at risk but the employees and customers. I am told by others that have experienced issues with food orders at this restaurant that asking for food back is something that they do too often. That is the most insane thing I’ve ever heard of! After this experience my family will no longer eat at...
Read moreThis restaurant lost our business forever after this evening. The food here has always been ok, not gourmet Mexican but satisfying and I usually come 2 or 3 times a month for lunch tacos and I always tip 20% so they know us there. Tonight my hubs and I got one of the dinner combos which was fine and our appetizer was fine too but my entree the steak street tacos were terrible. The meat was so tough you really couldn't chew it. There were 3 tacos per order and I ate half of one and pulled 2/3 of the meat out as it was so rubbery and tough. I called the owner over who I've always had really good rapport with and showed her I couldn't even pull the beef apart by hand and she immediately got an attitude. She asked if I wanted something else and I said no, my husband was almost done with his please just take it off our bill. She grabbed my plate, stormed off into the kitchen yelling in Spanish and yes I speak Spanish so I know what you said. When we went to pay she grabbed a pen and scratched the entree off the bill so hard she almost tore the paper and slammed her fingers on the calculator they use to tally, they never ring up tickets on the cash register. Anyways I tipped 20% still but no apologies from her for the lousy food and complete attitude because she was serving something inedible. My husband was like what was her problem when we got to our car, then he said we will never...
Read moreWe had a 5 dollar off coupon for over 30 dollars. My husband brought it in, and was told the total was 29 and change. Ok, no problem. Then she adds on some other fee that brings it over 30, and my husband says we can use the coupon now, and is rudely told to wait til next time.Well, guess what, there won't be a next time. It's not even about the money, it's about the customer service. Don't put out a coupon, and then pull this nonsense. And we were consistent customers of take out, and had encouraged others to go there. No more. All for an extra 5 dollars. Bravo to you. But still, after all that, the food still rocked. I can at least say that. Better than all the others around. Don't go by my word, you do you, but I'm done. And if you've been treated like my husband was, I hope you at least had the chili rellanos first so it's not a total...
