I've lived in Mt.Enterprise my entire life. I'm originally from Pasadena, but moved here with my family when I was just 3 years old, so I have been here 42 years & went to school here. I love this town, & when May May's opened up, my wife and I wanted to see what kind of place it turned out to be. I was instantly impressed on what they did to the outside of the place. When I stepped inside, I was blown away at how they improved the interior and made it such a nice little place. I still remember when the building was Ennis Bohannon's Insurance. I still remember being a little boy and my dad doing business with Mr.Bohannon. He would give me and my brother a Coke in a glass bottle (I still remember those good old days) just to be nice to us while he helped my dad with his insurance.....a memory I hold on to. Fast forward many years and I noticed that someone had been working on the building and I wondered what was going on. When my barber next door told me that it was to be a coffee shop and eatery of sorts, I told my wife & we waited to see if this place was good. I'm proud to say it definitely is! I've been in this place 3 times total, my wife is here a lot more times than I. LOL She gets their smash burgers & fries for supper for us some nights. We have also ordered their pizzas & my wife loves their coffees, too. I can't think of a single bad thing to say about this place. The place is always extremely clean when you walk in and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Better still, the food and drinks are all AMAZING. Whether you get breakfast, supper, lunch, or even some of their t-shirts, mugs, or other merchandise, these people make good food at very fair prices with a friendly, small town attitude and feel. As a life long resident of the town, I am thrilled that they are thriving and we finally have another great place to grab eats in town. I would highly recommend this place whether you are in a hurry and go through drive thru, or you want to stop for some eats and take it easy. I don't think you will regret it. I look forward to enjoying their burgers and pizzas more going forward. Whatever you guys and gals are doing at May May's, keep it up! I know this is a lengthy review, but this is a...
Read moreMaking an 1 day trip from Houston to Shreveport, I saw this diner when passing thru Mt Enterprise, the large smash burger sign stuck in the back of my head. When leaving Shreveport I decided to hold off on eating and give them a try. Pulled in and walked to the counter, the young lady at the counter was really nice and explained the different ways they made smash burgers. I went for onions and bacon. Sat at a table and waited for my order, they were slammed with call-in orders and drive thru, but my order was completed in less than 10 min, which is impressive because I ordered my fries extra crispy. The cook brought the order to my table and asked if I needed any condiments or anything else. Burger was great, good beef flavor 2-3 napkins on drainage (always a good thing) and fries were xtra crispy as ordered. This place will be in the back of my mind every time I pass thru, and will probably time my trips to hit here around lunch or...
Read moreA lovely little cafe with friendly service and fantastic food! The dining room is tiny but there are several picnic tables across the drive-thru. I popped in for lunch on a Sunday and breaky the following Monday. My chicken salad sandwich was light and flavorful however I would prefer the croissant toasted. The fries had a crisp exterior and fluffy interior, seasoned well enough to stand on their own but pair well with ranch dressing. The 822 turkey breaky sammy was served on sourdough that was easily confused for Texas toast. I added bacon to really send this pesto-lined sandwich to another level. The coffee was piping hot and full of flavor. The real star of the show here was the donut. I was recommended the blueberry and it was absolutely perfect. The one negative was the insane amount of flies buzzing around the...
