Absolutely would never recommend this place to my worst enemy. I used the online ordering to order birria tacos and received pork tacos. My family member picked up the order on the way home so I did not pick this up originally. When I opened the food and saw it was pork I attempted to call the store to inform them so, by the time I got there the food would be almost ready. The number associated with google when looking them up rings to a dead line. I get there ten minutes to close and the door is locked. The elderly woman in an apron opened the door and I quickly explained that my Birria tacos were made to be pork. She proceeds to tell me “that’s not cool you waited till last minute to tell us. You could have called” even though I explained to her I tried calling and the online ordering didn’t leave an option to proceed with ordering “Birria tacos” without clicking “Al Pastor” she so rudely insisted that we were “wrong for not calling. Wrong for coming in last minute” I even called the store number informar of her to show her. She rolled her eyes and said nothing just brushed it off so disrespectfully. My order was placed at 7pm I received it at 7:40pm and drove 10 minutes to their location. She was being argumentative and even as she was cleaning felt the need to continue to tell us we were “just wrong”. The customer service was non existent. They never apologized for their mistake. They never even apologized for not having a point of contact for the business. Just down right rude, arrogant and disrespectful. Not how you...
Read moreMe and the Mrs had some errands to run around the area and set out just before lunch. We typically get started on our day earlier than that but for some reason we were just running a little bit slovenly that day. These things happen and on this particular day, it worked out. We were driving past the House of Tacos and remembered that it was something that we wanted to try so we stopped in not knowing what we were in for. The nice lady at the counter who turned out to be our waitress was very nice although a little soft spoken. You can order to go and not sit down and get a waitress but we decided to stay. This seemed to be a very authentic experience of someone who knew how to make Mexican food and set up a shop for that very purpose and was making a go of it. I love that. My beautiful wife got the Mexican tacos and I got the American tacos because we wanted to see what exactly that meant. We were able to then share our meals with one another to get the same experience. Those two types of tacos are so very different and it reminded me of the fact that I really need to travel more outside of the country. The tacos came with ground beef or pulled pork and so we chose the ground beef and we'll have to come back for the pulled pork tacos because that sounds good too. Looking...
Read moreLook, there will be a wait as they cook everything fresh, there may be a wait due to a new system as well but if you want fast there is a BK across the street. Let us judge on food quality while they get their system complete.
The food here was excellent. I've never seen a quesadilla as stuffed with steak as we received here. I got the 3rd type of taco which I won't butcher in name, it was not the American and was not the Mexican type, and it was great. It came with a dipping sauce that was excellent as well.
The woman working allowed us to try the guacamole because we only have one member of our family who eats it and I was too cheap to buy a whole container. She was very nice and I thought overall provided a great customer experience.
If I had one complaint that kept this from 5 stars it was simply that the chips were a bit stale. We were the first customers today though and I thought perhaps that could be why, minor grievance if anything.
Will definitely be back to this place and recommend a visit as long as you are...
