Salvo's Pizza — Restaurant in Mount Juliet

Great food! Best pizza in Mt Juliet. First time coming to this location. I will say that the wait staff were not helpful at all. Took awhile to get our order taken, no check backs and nobody brought our check or to go dessert we ordered. Maybe MJ location isn’t full service like the Hermitage one? Seems like wait staff were more interested in chatting amongst themselves. We will stick to the other location in Hermitage when it comes to dining in.

Seems to me that the servers just bank on that auto gratuity they get off of bigger parties and completely neglect their tables. I’ve worked in the industry for years — The way their wait staff acted is something my restaurant would terminate over. Was very surprised in how awful the service was compared to the Hermitage location. Standing around, having conversations meanwhile there’s another table sat looking around confused, they ask “Do we order up front?” No… but you might as well. Teens will be teens but Salvos may want to have a talk with their staff on how to work their tables and get that tip up! Don’t take advantage of the auto gratuity and actually work for your tables. I’m a very generous tipper, I love to take care of my fellow servers.. but dropping off a pizza and never coming back to the table again does NOT warrant a tip whatsoever!!! Absolute worst service I’ve ever experienced in my entire life. Came in and placed an order for pizza slices. 30 minutes later I was asking about the status of our order and that server spilled marinara all over my pants. Server apologized and offered a free dessert and then never came back. 10 min later another server who I originally placed my order with told us that our order was lost and he would give us the pizza free. 15 minutes later he’s handing me a check for the entire order. On the way out, I stopped to tell the manager about the marinara and how we were offered a free dessert. Didn’t even mention the fact that they lost our order and it was offered to be free. He had the most rude attitude and told me “I don’t know why your server offered you a free dessert, accidents happen”. That’s when I said “wait I didn’t even tell you the whole story. Our order was completely lost and we waited here 40 minutes before the order was even sent to the kitchen” His response was “have a good day”. I’ll never go back and I hope the owner sees this post. I am literally one of the most understanding customers when things go bad but I thought I should ask for my free dessert on the way out since I paid full price for the meal and never thought I would get treated so horribly...
