I was passing through Mt. Pleasant on a trip and decided to stop for lunch. I asked for a #9 (coney cheese dog) with no cheese and no onions. The cashier questioned what I was wanting, so I thought I would specify I only wanted the chili sauce on my hot dog. She said, oh okay, I'll do the coney dog for you instead. I said that was fine as long as it didn't have onions or cheese. I received my order and went to my vehicle. I pulled the food out and could smell onions, so open the coney dog and sure enough, after saying multiple times I didn't want onions I got onions. I checked the receipt and it didn't say anything about no onions. I went back inside with the coney dog, showed it to the cashier and repeated again I wanted it without onions. She asked the food prep staff for a coney dog with no onions. She didn't say anything about needing to keep the mistake, so I threw it in the trash can. I heard a woman say that it should have been ordered that way. At this point, I became irritated and raised my voice enough for her to hear me say it was ordered that way. They then asked if it was on the receipt that way. I said no, but that I specified I didn't want onions. The cashier didn't say anything during this interaction. A woman came from the food prep area, I'm assuming the same person that was talking to me and asked where the mistake was. I told her I threw it in the trash after showing the cashier. She said they needed the mistake. Again, the cashier didn't say anything to support that I showed her the mistake. She actually seemed nervous and a little scared to say anything. The woman from the food prep area was rude and I wasn't going to dig something out of the trash. I finally became frustrated and said I'd go somewhere else. All of this over onions. So sad customers are treated like this. I pass through this area several times a year, but will never stop at A&W again.

Read moreFood got 3 stars because it actually tasted really good and most of it was pretty warm. Service is 0 stars. The Jonah Hill look-alike behind the counter took our orders with zero personality 12:46. At 1:20, a girl came over and attempted to bag our order. She stood and stared at the screen, grabbed a sack of chicken strips like she was scared of it, half place it in the bag, then took it back out. Walked away nervously. At 1:25, Jonah finally got done messing with the pop machine and also attempted to bag the order. He put in a burger, took it out, put some other things in, and said it was ready. I took it out to the car (because the place was absolutely packed with people waiting on food) and guess what, my cheeseburger was not in there. It was the one he took out 🤦♀️. Went back in, got my burger, mourned the wasted 45 minutes of my life and here we are. During this visit I also witnessed another lady receive the wrong order and an elderly man wait almost 30 minutes for a shake. Do not go here. Save...
Read moreHad to wait at the counter and wasn’t greeted upon entering, even though there were four employees 5 feet from the register. Gal that helped us was dry and unfriendly. Ordered a #7 meal and 5pc hot dog nugget. Didn’t pay attention to the price and realized after we paid that they only charged us for a 3pc chicken tender and the 5pc nuggets. Watched as they cooked our food and when the nuggets were done I noticed she didn’t put all of the ones in the basket into the bag, a couple minutes later she went back to the basket and took the remaining out and ate them herself. Sunday special was for ice cream, they were out of ice cream. When our food was done the gal yelled our number out, I was 5 feet from her and the only person in there, approached the counter and she didn’t even look at me, handed me the bag and mumbled thanks as she walked away. We will not be back to this location purely based off the customer service. (Side note: they had rap music blaring out the speaker on...
