Hy-Vee Pharmacy — Local services in Mount Pleasant

This was my first time at the pharmacy as we are new to town. I have previously used HyVee in our old town. When I called, the staff were very rude. However, they agreed to fill my rx. How nice, as that is what I am paying for. I gave plenty of time and went to pick up at the drive thru line. I waited, pressed the button, they saw me and still after 10 mins did not walk over to the window and refused to acknowledge me. With a torn calf muscle, I then parked, walked inside, where they had 3 people on staff and no one in line.

I won't go back here, they have lost a potential new entire family of customers. Sad to see customer service in rural Iowa at it's lowest with no regard for the sick or injured patients they serve. Hate using this pharmacy. They always take forever, they give me the wrong pickup info for meds, they have multiple accounts for me and refuse to delete the old account and use the correct account with my insurance so there's always an argument about me having coverage for my scripts so I'm not paying the full price out of pocket, their staff is very rude and unprofessional, always give a time to wait so I wait double and still get told i need to wait or all of a sudden the medication isnt available but we couldnt tell me that before making me wait, dme service are a joke and have no idea how to do their job. I switched from this pharmacy years ago but am forced to go back bcuz they r the only pharamcy who kinda attempts to keep my husband and I's ADHD med in stock, but we usually still have to wait for shipments or get wrong info or told by staff I should change meds. I need a certain pain patch. I tried for 2 weeks to get this. They told me they were not able to get them from their suppliers, I ask them to try another supply company and ,they told me they were only allowed to order from 2 companies. Neither company had my patches. Needless to say I was not only going through a lot of pain I was also going through withdrawals. I tried a independent pharmacy in town and they had them in stock. This pharmacy because it is independently 0wned they can order from any distributor they want to so anything you need they can get with no trouble.
