revised. food: 5 stars. management: 1.
it is unfortunate that i leave this review but this review is being left after i reached out directly and privately to the establishment only to receive a dismissive response -
good afternoon. i did not want to leave a negative review or negative post publicly as your food is delicious and i’ve never had any issues with your establishment until today. my fiancé and i had a lovely brunch with a party of 6. the food and our waiter were both great despite the restaurant being busy. while i got up to use the restroom before leaving, my fiancé started his motorcycle and waited for me out front. once i returned to the table a female approached our table and began yelling profanities about the “douchebag” on the bike. while this was taking place, a waiter approached my fiancé and demanded that he turn off his bike. even upon our leaving the restaurant the lady continued yelling profanities at us and informed me that my fiancé was an “asshole.” both indoor and outdoor customers were witness to these occurrences as were the members of our party. please know that my fiancé had his bike running for approximately 2 minutes while i used the ladies room. i am disappointed in the way the staff handled the situation and am reluctant to dine here again. after today’s incident, it seems that certain customers are treated in a different manner than others. i am hoping this situation is rectified. thank you.
again, this message was sent directly and privately to management when the incident occurred on june 27. they responded stating they would speak with their staff and reach out to me afterwards. i have heard nothing since. this is unfortunate as this establishment has good food. due to the way this establishment manages their business, we will not be returning nor recommending this...
Read moreCame here last weekend for a girls brunch and birthday brunch. There was so many options to choose from and the photos and reviews online didn’t make them seem too appealing to me so I got nervous. I ended up sharing two dishes with one of my cousins. We ordered the fried French toast and the shrimp avocado wrap. Let me tell you that the fried French toast was literally the best thing to ever exist in history. I would have never thought to do something like this before for the worry of taste. Believe it or not it tastes like boardwalk food! The Nutella and fruits is great and pouring lots of syrup just put it over the top. Although I must say it definitely needed a whole lot more fruits having to strawberries in like 20 pieces of blueberries is not the way to go especially for someone who doesn’t eat blueberries. Now let’s talk about the shrimp avocado wrap, sounds good but the taste well Isn’t there at all. It was the biggest disappointment of the day. No salt no pepper no lemon flavor whatsoever it wasn’t worth the money yall charging. Not to say it’s expensive or anything but man either add some seasoning or take it off the menu. I had to squeeze lemons and put hot sauce to give it some flavor. I was lucky to try the chilaquiles that I wanted originally but the photos it looked unappetizing. Actually tasted pretty good but again people can’t make it correctly. It’s supposed to be tortilla chips not tostadas stacked at all. Like please google how to make authentic food before adding it to your menu. Because I struggled cutting a piece to try for myself. No one wants to struggle and no one wants their food drowning in sauce and cheese. Oh and the home fries are too damn dry with ZERO FLAVOR. Has anyone ever heard of...
Read moreI've been to this place many times:
1st, when it recently opened, it wasn't that bad. Service seemed normal, and I had the buttermilk pancakes which were ok. The manager was kind, asked how the food was, I was honest and he gave me a free brownie that my friend ate. I would give it 3 or 4 stars then.
The next time I went... oh boy... it was bad. I barely ate my sandwich, either because it was bad or I just wasn't that hungry, or both. I think the sandwich was soggy, it's hard to remember. I was with a group of people so we hung out after we paid and left. TLTR, employees saw us walking and decided to flip me off. No joke.
A few other times I unwillingly went with other people and had food that was store bought, I could literally get the same thing for less at the store or my school. Same thing with their drinks.
I recently went Father's day and had pancakes that were extremely dry and tasteless. The service was a little better this time, but not great. All I could think about was leaving.
OVERALL, this place is expensive with subpar food unless it's store bought. Store bought food, however, is cheaper in other places. Pancakes are dry and flavored coffee was diluted (tasted more like water). Service is ok, but you can tell that the employees either don't want to be there or hate you. It's not a good vibe, it also has a feel of formality that isn't homey, but that's more of a...
