This is a place who's owner is not respecting at all the rights of people with a service dog! California and Federal law allows persons with disabilities to bring trained service dogs to all public places. Among these laws are the California Disabled Persons Act (CDPA) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). California law guarantees people who use trained service dogs full and equal access to public places. Period. Its not a choice. Its not in the discretion of the owner. Its a right protected by law! In California, the service dog guarantees apply to a broad range of public places, including any place to which the general public is invited (including restaurants, hotels, theaters, shops, concert halls, and government buildings). Clocktower Coffee is as such a public place as defined by the law. Public places must allow persons with disabilities to bring in their service dog and, if necessary, they must modify their practices and to accommodate the dogs. The public place cannot even require a person to "prove" that their dog is a service dog. Having said that, the owner even didn't bother to ask me about my service dog. I pointed out to him that this is the law he needs to honor even if he do not like dogs in his coffee shop. He was rude and disrespectful and ignored the law.
I cannot recommend this place to anyone who has a service dog or who appreciates the service dog laws which are made for a very good...

I come here every single day, and get either the Brazil drip coffee or a cold brew. I also get coffee for the house.
The coffee beans are fresh roasted every day/every other day. The whole shop always smells like freshly roasted coffee.
I’ve talked to the owner, and he’s very knowledgeable and passionate about the whole roasting and brewing process. This shop started out in 1998, and has been going strong ever since. He’s shown me the massive water filter that leads to pure water being used, which makes the coffee taste and smell only like coffee.
Fantastic coffee shop overall. I appreciate the frequency of daily roasting which keeps coffee fresh, and the overall friendly vibe and family like atmosphere of the shop. I highly recommend the drip or cold brew.
My one complaint is there’s very few mugs and cups, mostly everything is TOGO. I find that hot water into a TOGO cup messes up the flavor and gives me a stomach ache, and I find real mugs and glasses are part of a nice coffee shop vibe. So I’d recommend to bring your own water bottle. I also don’t like the fact that the surrounding is a parking lot, but that complaint maps more to American Suburbia and isn’t specific to this coffee shop. The coffee is so good though that this small complaint doesn’t change my five...
Read moreClocktower is a cozy coffee shop, but after a few visits, I'll probably not return again.
First, some positives. It's a very charming spot with nice decor and even some assorted items for sale. The staff are friendly and swift. The menu is extensive, with a notably broad selection of lattes & mochas.
Unfortunately, after sampling a bit of the drinks I've realized I'm just not a fan of the coffee. There are other cafes even in Mountain View that I think serve better quality, even if they may not have as many syrups in stock. Speaking of the syrups, they can be hit-or-miss. The "banana" in the Banana Nut Latte was more fragrance than flavor, and the Almond Zebra Mocha tasted a bit too artificial for my liking.
Unlike me, one of my friends is a regular at Clocktower, and he loves both the drinks and snacks on offer. So, I think it's worth checking this place out at least once to know if you're into it. At least it's better than supporting the...
