Tonight we did a delivery order (through the restaurant), but it never arrived. About 20 minutes after the food should have been delivered, the restaurant called us to tell us the driver took the wrong bag (the driver says they were handed the wrong bag - either way, the owner should have ensured the order was correct). The owner then put it on us to try to coordinate with the driver to sort the issue out and ensure the order was returned for the other people who ordered it. We texted the driver, but they didn't want to waste their time and go back to the restaurant.
The restaurant kept calling me, trying to ask if I had sorted it out - even though this was their mistake and something they should have been solving on their end through their own delivery service. They were also far more interested in making sure the wrong order was returned for the other customer than helping us get our order, which was still sitting at the restaurant. Eventually, we got an email from the restaurant saying the item had been delivered, with a faked signature from me for receiving the item. Neither order had been delivered. I called and asked what was going on - they confirmed they still had my food, and asked if I wanted to have them send another driver. At this point, the food had been sitting out for almost 2 hours. I declined, and asked for the order to be cancelled and refunded (they had to 'check with their manager'). At no point did they offer to make the situation right with a fresh order or anything. In the end, I only was told I'd receive a partial refund - it appears that they didn't refund the tip I gave.
We had ordered from Everest a few times earlier in the year, but things seem to have gone downhill. Mistakes happen, but they should've handled this themselves instead of asking me to figure out what was going on across all the different parties, proactively tried to get me my food, and they certainly need to refund the full order.
Edit: still no refund from...
Read moreThis restaurant is the BEST NEPALI RESTAURANT 👍🏻 ........ I've been eating my favorite food at my favorite local restaurant The Everest Cuisine in Mountain View ,which is new owner took over, remodeling and redecorating it. My friend and I (who is indian ) went there for lunch and guess what???😃.....She loves the chicken and I'm crazy about all the food options. Specially Fresh-from-the-tandoori Naan is always delivered to our table which is hard to believe. LOVE them even more than Others . Often I have dinner there with my friends. Whenever I eat there it reminds me of the food I ate in Nepal. The owner is from Nepal ( Anil Pandey and Prince Yubraaj Karki jyu)and they does it right ! Best and amazing service. Try the mutton Masala Curry. Food is right temperature, full of taste. You are asked "how spicy?"I am very pleased with the service and the quality of food is very good. I recommend this place to all my friends.I have visited too many Nepali restaurants and this is my favorite by far. The food is amazing and worth the drive and you can park easily your car there anywhere. Very tasty food, reasonable prices. Atmosphere is special, calm and relaxing and the food is great. Try the chicken mushroom masala...😋 The best Nepali food Restaurant in Mountain View thank you very much to open here. Many dishes you simply won't find anywhere else. I actually hands down. If you would like to eat authentic Nepali food, try this place. The food is really tasty and spicy like it supposed to be. I hope this place will continue to keep up its food's quality and not towards pleasing local customers by making bland food like some Other restaurants do. Keep up the good work👍🏻... I wanna give them ten stars...
Read moreI had the pleasure of dining at Everest Cuisine, and it was an absolute delight! From the moment I stepped in, the warm and inviting ambiance set the stage for a fantastic experience.
The culinary journey began with the tandoori momos and dal tadka, which were a delicious way to start the meal. The flavors were balanced, and the tandoori momos had a perfect blend of spices.
The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the khadhai paneer. The dish was prepared with utmost authenticity, and each bite was a burst of flavor. Paired with the fluffy and flavorful garlic naan, it was a match made in food heaven.
But what left me truly swooning was the masala Indian tea. It was the best tea I have ever tasted, and I couldn't help but ask for another cup. The attention to detail and the presentation of the tea was a testament to the restaurant's commitment to providing a memorable dining experience.
Not only was the food exceptional, but the service and hospitality were also top-notch. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met, and they made us feel like valued guests throughout the evening.
Overall, my experience at Everest Cuisine was nothing short of amazing. The combination of delectable dishes, attentive service, and cozy ambiance makes it a must-visit for any food enthusiast.
