There is a ton of things going wrong in this place at the moment. That could be improved if taken action on the feedback
I’ve had been going into Muddy Water Cafe everyday for about 3+ hours at a time for around 3 months or so, and it needs improvement to say the least. The owner is never in his own building. Once every blue moon.
The environment is very lackluster. From not much going on to boxes in the hallway towards the restrooms. I have witnessed many people trip and almost fall when they walk into the building on where the rug sits and where the floor changes. Seating is cramped most of the time and there is one outlet that you can use.
The menu and descriptions on items are obviously made with Ai. Including every coffee, lotus, and food. Most, if not all the posts on the official Facebook are also made with Ai. I deal with Ai on the daily and it’s really not great. Which I mean, easier on your part. but if you wanted to “stand out” and be creative I recommend doing your research and not depend on Ai to make your menus/coffee.
Service WAS okay, I was only ever greeted at the door if the barista that was working knew who I was. Everyone that greeted me was bullied into quitting or left for their own good.
Transparency and communication is missing from the owner most of the time due to him not being there. From a consumer standpoint it is kind of concerning. And the pettiness of posting a bad review on the official page also. It’s not okay and just makes your business look like a child’s playground
I’ll give credit where it’s due, it is a nice place for me to sit down and do my graphic design commissions, but there is major improvements that are needed if you want your business...

From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with the warm aroma of freshly brewed coffee and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. Their drink selection is fantastic—whether you're into lattes, cold brews, or a classic cup of drip coffee, they nail it every time. But what really sets Muddy Water apart, especially for parents, is The Mud Puddle—their adorable and thoughtfully designed play area for kids.
My kids are obsessed with The Mud Puddle! It’s more than just a play corner—it’s a full experience. There's a toy espresso and ice cream bar where they pretend to run their own café (so cute!), shelves of books, coloring supplies, and plenty of open-ended play opportunities that keep them entertained for a long time. It’s clear the owners put a lot of care into creating a space that’s just as enjoyable for children as it is relaxing for adults.
It’s such a relief to find a spot where I can sip a delicious latte in peace while my kids are happy, safe, and engaged. Whether you’re meeting a friend, getting some work done, or just need a pick-me-up during the day, Muddy Water Cafe delivers on every front. They also offer ice-cream now! Read moreEdit: in response to what was replied, you do not have records of me because I don't have rewards set up with you. This has nothing to do with any previous dealings with a disgruntled employee and I'm shocked that you'd state something like this. I use to come in every other day for some hot chocolate, or regular coffee until the quality of service went down. As much as I have went in there and talked to the people who work there I have never seen nor heard of the owner being present in most of this. If I truly was just wanting to destroy the reputation of the Muddy Water Cafe then I wouldn't have had anything good to say. Good luck with your future endeavors and assuming anyone with negative criticism is a previous employee. (Which says a lot about how poorly things must actually be there.)
Place looks and feels tacky, owner is never there along with no manager, place seemed fine service wise until recently when some of their better employees quit. Feels like you're walking into just another generic coffee place and recently the coffee has been more watered down and the food doesn't offer much more in terms of satisfaction. Unless you absolutely need coffee, would not...
