Another disappointment at this location. Friendly staff...clean store= 2 stars. I've gone here probably 50 times or more in the past year. Why did I keep going despite an issue NEARLY every time, you may wonder? It's because they are very close to my house. This visit... is the END. Firstly, I was told my order would be ready for pickup in "about" 15 minutes. If you've dealt with this location very often, you know it's a lie. According to my phone record, I paid for my order 56 minutes after I ordered it. I waited 15 minutes before I left my house...it's an 8 min drive...and I still managed to wait in the store for about 30 minutes. They look like they are extremely busy, but when you pay attention you notice they are doing anything and everything, but actually preparing food most of that time. I'm just guessing, but I assume the disorganization or lack of clear roles is what contributes to the long waiting times. Secondly, they do not make the pizzas edge to edge. According to responses from managers and people who have answered my feedback in the past, toppings are supposed to be within 1/4 of an inch to the edge. They consistently fail in this area. I have a ruler in my kitchen and I have found the distance to be consistently 4 to 8 times that 1/4" measurement. There are always areas of the pizza that meet the 1/4 inch... but most of the pizza (50-75%) does not. Lastly, and most importantly, the biggest issue is that orders are consistently wrong or missing something. I should know better than to leave the restaurant without looking... but here we go again. I ordered 2 different kinds of pizza to accommodate the family and this visit.... I had 2 pizzas that were identical. Of the 5 people in my home, 3 ate only breadsticks because they do not like royal feast. Sure, the restaurant would have made me the right one... but then the pizza at home would be 30-60 cold by the time I got back home. Sure they would offer a credit, but again that doesn't solve my immediate issue. I called and they did offer, but this is consistently an issue at the 801 W. Memorial location. I did not accept their offer and just let them know that I will no longer go there. It's going to take a loss of business for them to get their act together. FROM NOW ON...YORKTOWN where I've never had these issues. Good bye Memorial... no need to...
Read moreThis was the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. We had a family get together to celebrate my mothers life as she passed away last Sunday. This is our family ritual to do it at pizza king for get together as most family members live out of state. Our service was slow but that's to be expected when we have a party of 30+ people. Everything was great, there was even a worker who volunteered to take a family photo so we can cherish down the road. I really appreciate that woman. While the employee was taking our photo, we were apparently blocking the door for the delivery drivers to come and go. Honest mistake, but instead of politely asking us to move to a different spot to take a photo, one driver started screaming and cussing at us. We explained what we were doing and we apologized and he said " I don't give a s**t what this is for you need to get out of here before I call the police. He was extremely rude. Then the manager said we have a business to run you need to leave....... like I said before we had a party around 30+ people which brought them well over $500+ in business....I have never been treated so poorly at a restaurant. Given the circumstances most businesses will go above And beyond for their customers... Not this pizza king. Then when the police showed up the delivery driver started screaming again at our group.... the police even warned him to leave, he started screaming at the police and us...... He was then very aggressively told to leave by the officers. He got the picture loud and clear. I was shocked a business could treat their customers this way. I will never eat at this Pizza King again and I would strongly recommend choosing a different location. Choose a place where they actually value their customers. What a great way to end our night celebrating my mothers passing....
Read morePizza was really good, I worked at a top hat in high school so pizza king is always my go to for pizza. We came in last night and the service was fast but our server seemed like we were being annoying because as she was setting drinks down (silently) one of us were trying to order on the phone. After standing there staring at him for a few seconds she said “Im your waitress” like it was the most obvious thing in the entire world. At some of the locations they request you only order from the phone and not the food runner so we had no idea. We understood though, not everyone is good with people and she could’ve had a long shift. The most irritating part though is the dining room being dead silent. The touch tunes was out of order and we get that because they’re usually pretty old but get a little speaker, a radio, literally anything where the other patrons can’t hear your entire conversation and can hear a pin drop. Your customers would like it and it would probably boost the morale of the staff. Also, felt soo bad for the guy working the front. There was a guy who was in sweats and a tank top who looked like he definitely was not working there cutting it up with the cook in the kitchen while we were trying to pay and the poor cashier had to remind the cook he had tickets up. All in all it was pretty...
